Platini - Supporting Racism by Punishing The Players
This fella is a complete fuck-wit!! He's now come up with a ruling that supports the right wing, fascist and the racists of the Euro's.
A black player gets a volley of disgusting, illegal abuse..........what do you think Platini will do about those fans? Probably a 20k euro fine for the countries FA.
A black player gets a volley of disgusting, illegal abuse..........what do you think Platini will do if the player walks off the pitch? A fucking yellow card!!!
He's basically saying that a black player MUST put up with the abuse he is getting or else he gets punished.
Platini - GET YOUR FUCKING PRIORITIES RIGHT!!

It's the referee in charge he reckons!! Can he really see a referee stopping a game for racial chanting??? He lives in his own surreal bubble this fella.

Re: Platini - Supporting Racism by Punishing The Players
there needs to be a better strategy than just putting all responsibility on the ref.
the rules of the game state that a player should be yellow carded for leaving the field of play, but common sense needs to prevail.
What if, say, Balotelli is abused in Italian by some fans (easy to google Italian racist and swear words) and the ref doesn't speak/understand Italian?
There must be the opportunity for dialogue between the player and ref and that is the way it should be otherwise players can just walk off if they are having a bad game and blame racism?

Why give a major tournament to these extreme right wing countries in the 1st place???????
Platini was more concerned with banning Italian match fixers than dealing with racism at the Euros.

Think you have hit the nail on the head there Den. The countries who perpetuate racism should be overlooked for these venues. Simple.

Re: Platini - Supporting Racism by Punishing The Players
If the ref is alerted by a 4th official/ official in the stands who can validate any chanting, then fine, if the refs are instructed to take the players off, and if the chanting continues when they resume, then the game should be awarded to the team being abused..... but there's no thing been said in advance to warn fans or give the players any piece of mind as to what the official line is, or any code of conduct... typical head in the sand behaviour

It's got to be down to the officials and whatever govening body are watching/witnessing on the day, the punishment has to be so severe other racist will take note. Over here we have a minority that WE the majority can sort out show our anger against...unfortunatly the Comp is taking place where the majority are the problem with racism.
Re: Platini - Supporting Racism by Punishing The Players
The refs are part of the football federation and a match abandonment is a disaster so they will ignore all racist chants and tell the players to get on with it.
There is a simple explanation Blatter and Platini are racists themselves, they coulnd't give a flying fuck...
I think all the players should leave if that happens...
