David Luiz........£30m+

Apparently City are trying to get defensive cover in the form of David Luiz from Chelski and have had a £30m bid rejected.

Now is it just me or is £30m or possibly £30m+ for "defensive cover" a bit extreme?

Personally i don't rate Luis that highly anyway (RM obviously does though) and hope nothing materailizes but we do need an additional CB and i'm glad it's being addressed. I think not getting Cahill at £12m was missed opportunity.

Cahill went to Chelsea for 8m in January FFS. Would have been a much better purchase.

The thing is,we are offering prices like this for other players,while our players,eg.Johnson and De Jong are being sold off at 8mill.Maybe Bobby is right,someone needs to sort out Marwood before he bankrupts the club.De Jong 15mil.Johnson12-15mil(if we sell them)

NDJ is in last year of his contract. AJ should be selling for £15M. I'd keep DNJ and let him go for free or sell him for £12M+

maybe luiz going to barca for £30M isn't a bad shout for chelsea because there is no way they are going to get past FFP after spending £85M so far this summer.
