Just watched Paul Jewel and Steve Bruce on 'Goals on Sunday' what pathetic comments they made regarding today's Manchester derby.
Both unsurprisingly took the obvious option and went for a United win, they even managed to throw in just about every cliche that has been used about City since our owners took over.
Bruce reckoned "There's too much in- fighting at the club unlike Old Trafford"
"There are too many egos for Mancini to try and handle", while Jewel came out with the classic "United have only been playing in second gear and always come good around Christmas"
What a crock of shit, is this the best they could come up with on a derby day? No ex City player to balance it up?

There's a reason they are pundits and not managers. Let's look at the statistics:

Win percentage:
Paul Jewell - 38.47%
Steve Bruce - 37.13%
Roberto Mancini - 55.66%

On top of that, Mancini has won three Serie A titles, one PL title, the Coppa Italia four times, the Supercoppa Italiana twice, the FA Cup and the Community Shield.

Jewell managed to get Bradford and Wigan promoted to the PL, Derby County relegated from the PL with the lowest score ever and left every club he was manager of in a relegation place.

Bruce has won promotion for Birmingham City to the PL and, erm, that's it.

In terms of punditry, they are as qualified as Danny Mills. So maybe we should just ignore them and point to the stats.

but they got it right, United won

So? Just because they happened to correctly guess the result doesn't make them decent pundits.

Given United's propensity to come from behind this season, coupled with the fact we've not exactly been setting the world alight so far and throwing in the teensy factor of United already being three points ahead in the league does kind of point to United having the edge. It doesn't take a genius to look at known facts and draw that conclusion.

In fact, it doesn't even take a genius to work out that, given your past posting history, you're 100% likely to completely ignore everything I've written and perpetuate your own imbecilic point of view, thus rendering my efforts completely pointless. But I don't care, I still enjoy waving my intellectual superiority at you because you're an easy target and my self esteem is a bit on the low side. But once I feel better about myself, I'll get my cat to engage you and then we can all laugh at how you can be undone by a three year old feline instead. And let's face it, it'll be the only pussy you'll be engaging with in your sad life...

Our unbeaten record has been more luck than judgement and your poor defence wasn't overly troubled by our equally poor forward line, both of which could easily be determined by simply paying attention to what is actually happening.
