3 changes Blueboy.
Aguero is starting, Nasri is for Vinny and Hart back in the squad.
Good to see Aguero and Tevez starting again.

Blueboy you're making me look mental. Ha!
It took me a while to figure out what we had changed.
Hopefully there won't be too much work needing to happen at the back to test Garcia or Lescott. Although I suppose it could be 3-5-2

Dzeko on for 2nd half if it's still 0-0
Not happening at the moment, no cutting edge or penetration where it matters.
with this swirling wind we should be putting Cesar under a lot more pressure, and Dzeko is that man

I'd get Nasri off for Dzeko. Barely even seen him.
We've been pretty bland to be fair.

Re: Team News vs QPR
Dzeko had a full warm up and is still doing so at start of 2nd, I expect Nasri will be replaced, bit rusty after his enforced absence, will give us a target man for Aguero/Tevez to play off

Hello all,
Wtf! Tevez off and a schoolboy rusty defensive midfield on? Its not like they are attacking us or dominating midfield! We should be playing with 10 strikers!

Piss poor !
Blinding bit of management that. Take a striker off & bring on a crock MF who has played 10mins !!
Back up to 7 points then

Really don't get the Rodwell/Tevez substitution at all, exactly what did that give us extra going forward......kak all.
Milner should have been off earlier, worst game i've seen him have in a long while.
Overall, we should have won, the chances were there but we just didn't take them. Gonna be a hell of a run from now on in if we're gonna retain the title.

Needed yaya to produce some magic... we let them breath... we should have been more attacking but when you have defensive midfielders and crocked rusty players on this id what happens... tevez was pissed off when subbed and rightly so.... must be thinking this guy is an idiot!

Well... we didnt win not because of the players lack of effort but purely a management ineptitude... he deserves the stick if we dont win anything this year... too many bad tactical decisions this year.... still fuming over selling dejong!

Re: Team News vs QPR
Poor finishing and some bad luck was all that stood in our way. Caesar made a couple of fantastic saves, but to be honest, we've lacked the killer edge for a few games now, and with QPR defending en masse and closing us down quickly, we snatched at things, didn't deserve to win, fair play to QPR, they look far better than bottom of the table, Harry's got them working, just might stay up if they can keep performing like that.
Should have had Dzeko on from the start tho

We didn't really have a plan B and Zabba and Clichy weren't bombing down the wings on overlaps.
When we did bring Dzeko on, we just lumped balls up to him hoping they'd stick.

Still fooks me off when the home team setup for a draw.
I hear Bobby is still in West London looking for his Plan B.

Re: Team News vs QPR
I don't think we've ever had it. Yes, we've scored lots of goals in the past, but from how many chances? If we'd scored a quarter of what we created, we'd be top now, we'd have won on points last season and we'd have scored the most goals in a PL season ever. And we'd have got out of the CL group stages and won at least one more trophy.Bewar3them00n wrote:we've lacked the killer edge for a few games now
As teams learn to park the bus and frustrate us, our lack of clinical finishing is exposed and we'll end up with more of these no score draws.

On another note if I dare - Wigan looked fantastic against Stoke in the second half. RM certainly has them playing some brilliant football. Totally dominated Stoke in midfield and Espinoza, DiSanto and Beausejour looked awesome. Caldwell did a great job at the back. Soz

Re: Team News vs QPR
Thought Sinclair looked good when he came on, should have come on far earlier, don't see the point in throwing him on for 5 mins at the end.
We knew there'd park the bus and make it difficult, Harry's far from stupid, makes got them looking far tighter, and as a result any chance we had was rushed, saying that, we should have scored,
Not all doom and gloom, still not conceded this year, and still along way to go before May.

Agree with all your points Beware. We needed that player to just run at the defence and make them wobble a bit. Harry had them set up for our tippy-tappy play, should have had Sinclair and Dzeko on from start. Nasri has a great game at Newcastle but other than that he hasn't warranted a start in my eyes.
I was watching last night thinking would a world class striker even help us? Is that what we need?

Re: Team News vs QPR
Don't know whether i'd have actually started with Sinclair but with the score locked at 0-0, i'd certainly have given him more than 5 minutes to make an impression......the time of that substitution was just plain daft.

Re: Team News vs QPR
Even though we are very much still in things Bobby has shown I honestly don't think he is up to the job. We should be breaking down the bottom club over 90 mins.
I still maintain he has been a very lucky manager, but unless something happens very soon his luck is not going to hold out.

Re: Team News vs QPR
What is the answer to breaking down these teams that are prepared to defend so sit back in numbers and challenge us to break them down? Surely we have to play with wide men to stretch them more in midfield and use fullbacks that push up?
Well we have the full backs that push up in Zab and Cliche but do we have genuine wide men or wingers as they used to be called? There is one at Tottenham and another at Everton that we could try and sign or look further afield but we seem to have abandoned signing quality players in any position at the moment and its really frustrating watching all our main rivals strengthening while we do nothing or sign light weights.

Re: Team News vs QPR
My view on last night:
QPR offered next to nothing almost all night, back row had it well covered.
Up front, there were some nice channels opening up most of the game either side of the QPR central pair, but nobody seemed to notice them or go into them.
We seemed to be spread pretty wide most of the night - like that - but what's the point if you aren't playing the wide game and you pass it inside every time? (Zaba did try a few times - and it worked, as did it when Sinclair came on and went wide and round)
Linking the last two points together, I love the guy, and he never goes missing, making himself available all game, and trying to make it happen... - but the one criticism of little Dave I have is that when coming up to the 18-yard box, he needs to occasionally press on into the big spaces (aforementoned channels as an example) when they open up in front of him, rather than looking for a pass every single time.
If he could get a little more confidence to do this (or rather be more selfsh?), he would find himself through on goal more often (as when he tried it against Fulham the other week), where he could shoot or still pass it across behind their line - either way, creating clear chances and panic at worst.

Re: Team News vs QPR
Hi ALL. Just got back in the UK....fucking City!
Tuesday night in the UAE, thought...hmm. I'll buy a wi-fi pass for 24 hours in the hotel - that cost me £14.
It's 4 hours ahead, so I stayed up until 23:45 to watch the match.
All I got were shitty streams that kept on cutting out! I made it to half time, pissed off with the team and prepared myself to endure another 45 minutes and to bed at 01:30 (had a meeting at 07:00).
Didn't get to see the second half as my laptop suddenly developed a virus and started closing down all my applications. Re-booted it...suddenly it started to dump folders randomly!
Turned it off, rebooted in safe mode - managed to close the laptop down properly...turn it back on, open up Google....."not responding"
Thought f*ck it........but I best check my PowerPoint presentations for the meeting.........PowerPoint - "not responding"
Fuck, fuck, fuck!!!
Got to sleep at 05:00 after trying to think of everything I could do to sort it out - awoke at 06:00....knackered, pissed off. Had to borrow a laptop from someone else, re-load all my presentations onto it from my external hard drive.......managed to wing-it!
Why the fuck do I bother???
Oh, yes.........Aguuueeeeerrroooooooooo!!!!!

Re: Team News vs QPR
Blue, a very similar thing happened to me in a hotel near Reading. I was mooching on the tinterwebs and I got this message telling me to upgrade Java. So I did. I then spent the next three days limping along with a virus riddled laptop that wouldn't connect to a damn thing. And the annoying part was, while I was waiting for the IT types to come along and rebuild it, I could've gone home and recovered it completely from a backup.
