Team for Toffees
Right, 3pts is a must but i can't see 2 strikers starting. Milner will cover Zab to curb any forages from Baines and Garcia will be told to nulify any threat from Fellaini. So, here's my line up:
..................Hart
Zab.......Kolo.......Nasty.....Clichy
..........Garcia.......Yaya
Milner..........Silva........Nasri
...............Tevez

Don't think Nasri deserves to start. I hope he doesn't. So Barry for Nasri for me.
Everton will be looking to push on following their horrible game against Wigan. We're in for a tough game tomorrow.

Re: Team for Toffees
I always get confused with this thread. I always want to put my choice of team.
If it was to guess Mancini's team there should at least be a £1m prize.

Will be interesting to see how it pans out. It's not really a must win with Liverpool dispatching the spuds last week, and that might just relax us into actually beating them on their patch.

You don't think the rags will slip up on the run in then?

Once or twice, but four or five? No way.

Re: Team for Toffees
only three defeats required. If we win in the early kick off its down to 9 point gap so if they lose their game against Reading it stays at 9 or 10 if they draw.
Even if they beat Reading as expected, they have Chelsea again in the cup They also have to play us again then they have away games at Arsenal, Sunderland, Stoke and West Brom too as well as home games against Swansea, Chelsea and Villa who are still fighting for survival so if we win all our remaining games it could still happen.
That why i disagree with Blistering that tomorrow is not a must win game.

Just can't see it after last year. Taggart will retire if they do, we're nailed on for 2nd and all out for the cup.

I agree that its unlikely but to be in with any chance we must win every game left which is why I disagree that tomorrow is not a must win game. Every PL game is must win until its a mathematical impossibility IMO.

Would deffo have Barry in ahead of Nasri. We neded battlers against Everton not wimps. I'd also give Dzeko a run out> Everton have little height at the back & were found severely wanting against Wiggin

Re: Team for Toffees
Mancini has shown time and again that he's tactically clueless against Everton
He's not seemed to learn a great deal from the days that had De Jong sat on the bench while fucking Robinho ponced about the pitch and we were overrun
A bit of input from his moonheaded fuckwit sidekick wouldn't go amiss at times
The team should pick itself at Everton
Win the battle win the game
End of

Re: Team for Toffees
Maybe he needs to have a chat with Bob Martinez. He managed to take his rag-tag bunch of relegation dodgers to Goodison and play them off the park for over an hour, making Baines and Pienaar and Fellaini utterly inept in the process.
If we can't do that, there's no hope for us.

Helps that Everton don't consider playing Wigan as a cup final

Yes, I suppose that might help, but even so, Everton don't normally take their foot off the gas that much at home.

Ah, whatever the result, they'd find something to bitch about. I think they just don't like us very much. Feeling's mutual...

HART
ZAB
KOLO
NASTY
KOLOROV
MILNER
GARCIA
BARRY
SILVA
DZEKO
TEVEZ
Yaya has a migraine - WTF? We seem to have the ONLY 2 players in the PL who suffer from migraines....him and Nasri!

Yaya has a migraine..........i've heard it all now.
It's literally a 4-4-2 team then, might just be the formation to stifle anything they throw at us. Here's hoping!

Hmmm... Everton have a goal disallowed (possibly wrongly) and just scored one. Clearly we're not going to get much out of this game.

Lucky bloody strike, hit ground first. Not expecting anything now, shit team, shit formation. Will take my predicted 1-1 now.
But boy do I detest everything about this spiteful football club. Mega dirty and them fall over at the slightest challenge.

What a surprise, gone to back 4 again! Not getting into the bobby debate again but this really was never a game for a back 3! It's their cup final.

Re: Team for Toffees
Kolarov has been as shit as usual in defence.
We were just about ok for the first 20 (Kolarov apart) but seem to be overrun since a few minutes of our own decent play.
Everton's big men just falling about at the slightest touch and ref giving cards against city because of the crowd. Seriously, maybe Silva deserved his yellow but Osman's deliberate handball gets nothing!!!

Probert's been handing those yellow cards out like sweets, is that five players booked already so far?
Hoping Bobby turns on the hairdryer at half time, this team needs it.

It might help if Milner can pass to someone in maroon this half. Kolarov and Zab haven't got forward at all.....a change in tempo is needed too.

Re: Team for Toffees
2 dangerous tackles yet no reds after we have had reds for less (Kompany?) Dzeko has been getting ruufed up at every high ball by Distin and the ref called Zab over when Dzeko complained too much and then seemed to be just waiting to book him for anything eventually for a slight push which was a foul but no way a yellow. Then Osman swipes the ball away from Tevez with his hand and yet that's not a yellow? fucking disgrace probert

Re: Team for Toffees
As dismal as its been, we really should have made more of our chances. Kolarov off, Nasri on, we inject sme pace into the attack and we will start to claw back this game, worth even throwing Lopes on as Dzeko has been like Bambi on ice again! Give them something they don't know anything about instead of exactly what they're expecting?
Painful watching this with my Rag in laws
Unless something happens quick from Mancini, he can forget ever clawing back that 12 point lead

Probert should concentrate on making fair decisions and less on reacting to the crowd, very poor first half from him in my view.

That wasn't a yellow card offence from Piennar, it was a straight red card offence.

Gutless but a draw would have been about all we deserved!
I want Gollum next season I really do! The sour miserable faced wanker, but I want him to manage our team.
Thank god the red scousers beat the. Spuds last week

At the end of the day nothing really changed. We all knew the league was over, our whole season is the cup and it will be a new team next season.
Still a load of overpaid gutless w@nkers but nothing really changed

Re: Team for Toffees
Terrible decision from the ref for the penalty that never was! A clear yard inside the box.... A goal then and we could've gone on to win.
What is the point of having Sinclair on for 5 mins? Really! Make changes ASAP. Dzeko was useless, diving like a clown and giving the ball away. Time to go.
Time for a clear out, there was no communication up front, they were there for the taking.........

Re: Team for Toffees
Mancini fucked it up again not just the players, then he refuses to do his press conference and sends out moon head instead. Half the players played like they were not interested but its down to Mancini at the end of the day, he picked the team and the tactics and got it wrong at Goodison yet again, when is he going to learn?
