Would any of last year's targets have made the difference?

Would any of last year's targets have made the difference?
Bobby has been constantly bemoaning the fact that he didn't get any of his big transfer targets last summer and that is what has cost us this season.
I don't totally agree with him, as last night's performance proved we have the required talent at the club to challenge for the title.
Last summer, it was widely reported that Bobby had 5 big name targets.
Eden Hazard
RVP
Daniel De Rossi
Daniel Agger
Javi Martinez.
Would any of the actually have made a difference to our title challenge this season?
RVP would have scored us a few more goals (as well as not saving Utd's bacon when they were poor at the start of the season). He would have made the title challenge so much closer. Maybe he'd have made the difference.
Agger wouldn't have made much difference to us as Nasty has played well all season and Lezza would have still done a good job for us if we hadn't got Nasty.
Daniel De Rossi would have replaced NDJ. He would have given us more steel in midfield but was it just steel we were missing this season?
Javi Martinez, good player though he is, wouldn't have made a huge difference to us in defence or as a DM. That's not been a big problem area for us.
Eden Hazard. I really really wanted us to buy him. Watching the Community Shield in August I was glad that we didn't as he was useless. I've said before that I don't think he performs well enough against the top teams, but can be devastating against those further down the table. He has got better against the top teams as the season has gone on.
He is the one person out of those 5 that I think would have made the biggest difference for us. He could have been that Plan B that we've been crying out for. Certainly better than Nasri for sure.

Did we actually put an offer in for RVP? I didn't think we did but the commentator said during the game that RVP chose United over City.

The difference may well be 12 points, but it's fine margins that turn draws or losses into wins.
An extra striker while Aguero was out injured, or Tevez, Dzeko etc.. were low on form ( admittedly, Dzeko got us out of a few early holes) might have made the difference, as might a Prem ready box to box midfielder, Garcia has slowly adapted, but as Barry showed last night, even at 32, you need someone who can cover ground and break attacks.
No point whining now, it's underlined the need quite starkly, that we need top class players, not ones we have to mould over a season.
Maybe now we will get the players we need for next seasons campaign.

Niall Quinn said he is expecting two major signings over the summer.
Bale and Suarez would make us different class, but that aint gonna happen. Wonder who they will be.

A injury striken midfielder and a fat Brazilian full back.
My money is on Jermaine Jenas and Roberto Carlos.
