Tevez...staying or going?
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/may/28/carlos-tevez-manchester-city-contract
Carlos does have many options: extend his contract (if offered), let his contract run out or disappear to PSG or Monaco (maybe even Spuds or Arsenal).
I'd like him to stay for that year (and maybe even extend) but if Monaco offered £20M...

Carlos will stay and extend his contract imo, i really don't see why he would want to move.......what is he gonna get in France that he's not gonna get at City?
ps. Thought Tevez joined us from WHU......not Utd.

If we get Navas, Isco and Cavani, where will Carlos play if he is 2nd choice behind Sergio?

Rotation, Dawg. We get to swap out players of similar consistency and ability, plus we have the option of a front line of Aguero and Cavani, with Tevez playing off them, and Isco, Navas and Silva in midfield. That should scare the crap out of whichever German team we get in our CL group. My money's on getting Bayern again this season.

I think he definitely needs rotating now and again. He's 30 now, and them powerful runs have been few and far between this season. There were points in certain games where he looked absolutely exhausted, yet Mancini would keep him on for the full 90.
Drop him? No, definitely not. But he shouldn't be playing every minute of every game.

Re: Tevez...staying or going?
Seems like a lot of Chelsea fans on 606 appear to think cavani will sign for them. After Hazard last year I think it is our turn to get our No 1 target. I have just read on the BBC gossip page we are after melo from Galatasaray. The picture of him looks like he is the court jester. Don't really know to much about this guy.

Doesn't Melo play for Juventus? Thought he was just on loan for Galatasary?

Yaya isn't allowed to be dropped, or so it would seem
I hope Carlos stays, BBC gossip today seems to say he is waiting to discuss an extension.

Re: Tevez...staying or going?
Nope. I'd have Yaya as a DM, and have a back three of Richards, Zab and Vinny. I'm expecting nobody bar Hart to be in our half of the field for most of the game.Topdawg wrote:You'd drop Yaya Leo?!

Well that would just about tip me over the edge if that happened.
Yaya is NOT a DM and should never be used as one again. And we can't have Micah in a back 3 as he'll be caught out of position every other minute, exposing Zab and Vinny to a recklessly timed covering tackle resulting in a red card.

Re: Tevez...staying or going?
Okay then - we'll have Rodwell as a DM, and replace Richards with Nastasic or Clichy. Better?
It's all immaterial anyway, we'd never actually play all six of those top drawer players at the same time without having sod all defence. Would make for a really open game, though

Re: Tevez...staying or going?
I hope he stays...at least for another 2 seasons. Nobody, other than Zabba has worked has hard for the club this season, and with a new manager coming in, and Bobby gone, maybe we'll even see a better Tevez/Aguero/Cavanni partnership?

Re: Tevez...staying or going?
According to Benitez Cavanni is going nowhere! And according to Chelsea, they have offered Toress in PX for Cavanni!!The amount of dealings that are going on we are going to end up with nowt like we did last summer:)

Re: Tevez...staying or going?
There's no way the owners will allow what happened last summer to happen again. If we don't get Cavanni, maybe we'll get Isco and Navas as new attacking options.
