Re: Oops..we're screwed!!
Surely a conflict of interest? any sanctions he hands down will be laughed out of European court, typical of the myopia of Platini and Blatter, trying to get others to do their dirty work via the back door

Re: Oops..we're screwed!!
Sort of sums up the whole 'fear' factor of certain teams' dominance that they have enjoyed, may be over in the near future.
I just can't see the 'how' they can justify what is going on at Monaco/Paris St Germain/Anzhi etc and then say we and Chelsea cannot spend money that is not borrowed from a hedge fund company nor through share options!!
The whole FFP is a joke. But why bring it in and who benefits is the question we want answering?

Re: Oops..we're screwed!!
This line is interesting...
If he imposes any sanction, all we need to do is take it to court shouting "conflict of interest". It's being noted that they're looking at us and Chelsea and who are the only two clubs who are a challenge for United? Erm... City and Chelsea. Oh dear.
Of course, the easiest course of action for us is to pander to their games. So how about, instead of the Sheikh spending his own money, he goes and gets a loan under Shariah law (which obliges loans to be at very low interest) and uses that to offset the payments, just like all the other clubs do. And nobody can complain about the interest rates as we can simply point out it's racist. Done and dusted.
...it will not have escaped their attention that the 55-year-old is to remain a United director and board member, despite handing over the chief executive baton to Ed Woodward.
