Forum on mobile only

I can only get the forum on my mobile phone? Won't work on any web browser? Anybody else the same?

I've tried to raise it with forumotion but am a bit limited with no admin?

They say we may be able to get admin access in Vince's absence but may take a while.

I think we do need a regular person to take over the admin function on the forum. I couldn't get on my home laptop for 2 weeks at one point and no one was getting back to me. 

Incredibly frustrating.

I did offer to take over the admin from Vince, he said he was sorting it out, but I've not seen hide nor hair of him on here in weeks, so christ only knows what's going on.

Incidentally, I'm using Chrome on a laptop, so I suspect it's just you, Blistering.

It seems to be just my home PC which is weird?  My mobile is using wifi on the same router as my home PC and works fine.

Their support did say there is a path to replace the forum founder which I will start to follow.  Basically if Vince doesn't reply to their e-mails in a certain period they will allow us to change the founders and admins.  Then if a few of us are admins would make it a lot easier.  I think Vince did say he had lost the admin password/account anyway?

Anyway, I'm still willing to put my hand up for admin or moderator.  I've done it before with a reasonable degree of success, and that was a busy forum with several trolls on it.  On here, all we need to do is pacify blueboy once in a while!

I think we have to wait 8 months though from Vince's last appearance on the forum.  Now I am hoping they count his last admin access because we may well have covered that.

Vince created a 2nd account for his visits recently.  Will see what they say anyway.

I'll put you forward as the new founder Leo if you are happy with that, and then maybe myself and Jordan as extra admins, so I may need your personal e-mail addresses if you are happy to give them to me via PM.

Yes, just checked Vince created a new account when he came back, the last post from admin was Wed Sep 28, 2011 2:38 pm so hopefully we meet all their recovery criteria now.

Do any of you guys still speak to BWTAC on ja606?  Could you get him to pop back and just make a post saying he is happy for us to assign new admins?

Cheers, Melton over on ja606 (and here too) told me BWTAC is always on Bluemoon, so I've PM'd him.   We may soon have some action.

Just chased this up with Forumotion, I think we have to wait for 6 months and a day since BWTACs last visit and the admin will pass to Leopold.

By my reckonning that will be just before the start of the season which will be excellent news as we can have some new stickies again for predictions and Fantasy Footy etc, but will keep you informed.

If he posts to say it's ok to change the admin we just show that post to Forumotion and they treat it as permission to move it.  So either way it doesn't matter.  I had to send them all sorts of screen dumps of the last time Vince (as admin) and BWTAC posted to start the ball rolling.

Thanks for doing all this hard work for the benefit of the forum, Blistering.  I feel like a bit of a cheeky twat for taking over as admin when you've made all the effort, so I reckon you should be an admin as well at the very least.

Think there is only 1 admin Leo, but you can assign extra mods.  That is our stumpbling block, Vince as admin hasn't posted for over 2 years, but BWTAC is a mod so it also needs his permission.  You can see their point of view though, they don't want people being usurped from their own forums, so no posts for 6 months is a good cut-off.

I'm a latecomer to the forum anyway but more than happy for you to admin Leo, it will just be nice to have moderation functions again because this is a good little forum.
