Negrado :City open talks with Seville
Manchester City are hopeful of landing Alvaro Negredo after opening talks with Sevilla over a £24milion deal
City have turned to Spain striker Negredo after a move to bring in Napoli star Edinson Cavani hit the buffers, with Manuel Pellegrini unwilling to meet the Italian club’s £54million asking price.
Pellegrini has now firmly switched his sights to Negredo, and hopes to complete his second raid on Sevilla in as many months, having already bagged Jesus Navas for £15m.
Atletico Madrid and West Ham have both expressed an interest in Negredo this summer, while Tottenham remain long-term admirers.

But it is City who look like landing the 27-year-old after lodging a £24m bid, with negotiations at an advanced stage.
The bustling 6ft 1in hitman is far from the type of forward signing City fans have been expecting but, having scored 80 goals in 185 appearances at Sevilla, he has supreme pedigree.
The move comes just days after Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido confirmed Negredo would be sold this summer but only for a bid in excess of £20m.
Looks like a good bet to me, talking of bets, odds slashed on us signing him.
And, to me, seems like a wiser, and more fruitful option, seeing as he's used to the service from Navas, so we have the link between Silva-Navas-Negrado, easing the new season in some kind of familiarity.
Navas provided the most scoring chances last season, and Negrado scored 25, in a team that finished mid table, whether he'll score more in the prem I don't know, but Aguero got 30, so...!
Pellegrini looks like he knows what he's doing.

Much better price, don't know much about him but you've got to trust The engineer. You can also bet he won't be on anything like that of Tevez.
Listening to talkshite today their south American guy said Fred won't leave current club as he loves it there, and Cavani is just not worth it. So not leaving a lot.

Well... If he's used to playing alongside Navas and it's a fruitful partnership then it mustn't be a bad bit of business. Bring him on!

Bloody hell, Fiorentina have offerd £10m for Mario Gomez but Bayern want 15........why don't we offer £12m to try and secure him too? We'd have our 4 strikers and Guidetti as back up when 1 or 2 get injured/suspended.
