I can see Nigel leaving in the summer or on a free the summer after that.

Is he essential to our team? When we are winning, I'd say no. If we start losing games, we need him there to shore up the defence and start instilling confidence again.

I'd rather have De Jong playing DM than Yaya any day, De Jong is a class above in that position. Especially in Europe, I think De Jong could be vital against the better sides.

I know they say they won't negotiate contracts midseason which is fair enough, but didn't Johnson get a new one a couple of weeks back?
