Brazilian right back Maicon looks likely to leave this summer as MP has said he won't be in the squad for next season. Roma are believed to be offering £4M for him which is silly money (considering what NDJ went for).

Mp also says he wants the 2 or 3 signings he desires to be in by the end of July so hopefully we'll start seeing some transfer activity again soon.

If he's looking at 2 or 3 players, who could they be? Negredo, Jovetic and one other? Maybe he still wants Pepe or an audacious bid for Ronaldo or Bale?

Even if we sold him for £4m, we'd still be makin a profit on him......good business for a 31yr old that never really played if you ask me.

We're used to players being sold for silly money when we're involved, but it's going to be a nice change to see us as the seller making silly money.  About bloody time, too!  And Maicon can join the ranks of every other Brazilian player we've ever had* as a total and utter waste of time, effort and money.

* With the exception of Elano, Robinho for a few home games and Fernandinho, who hasn't actually played a game for us in anger yet.
