Think Negredo should get more of a chance. If not Mica I'd give Boyota a chance against Cardiff

I think dropping Dzeko again after his performance may tip him over the edge. This was the issues last season, and prior. Perhaps he should start again and build up his confidence.

It's not a case of dropping Dzeko it's rotating the squad He has 2 realise he won't be playin every match

I wouldn't drop Dzeko at all. He played well enough last game and it would be good to get him on a roll. Give him his chance and, if he fails to take it, Negredo steps in.

Leaving him out is akin to dropping him. Leave players in the 1st team if they are playing well and the gameplan/strategy/setup for the next match suits them.

Negredo deserves a chance too and Dzeko played ok not well He missed a hatful of chances which Negredo wd have buried

How do we know Negredo would have Buried them? He had two chances, 1 wrongly flagged offside & one sky high over the Bar, Dzeko had 3 well saved By Krul One which he should have scored and a long range effort just wide. Dzeko fully deserves his place in the starting 11. Whilst he is playing with the confidence he showed on Monday he is worthy of starting. I personally would much rather he keeps getting chances rather than not getting any at all. His link up play was also a few notches above last season. The way Pellegrini is managing Dzeko I can see him being a valuable asset this season.

I've already commented that he isn't any different (so far) except he just looks more aggressive. Maybe  Edin just needs a 3 week beard...

Sorry don't agree! Dzeko missed a lot of chances Negredo scored one and skied another difficult chance in the 10 minutes he was on
I will concede that Dzeko played with much more passion than anytime last year but lets face it a wet fish could have played with more passion than Dzeko last year

To be fair burying chances in pre-season friendlies in games with scorelines like 5-3 is not really a great comparator to games in the PL. I think easing Negrado in with a couple of sub appearances will get him up to speed with the pace of the Pl and Dezko did enough to at least keep his place whether you agree that he was man of the match or not.

2 Things,according to this mornings press,Micah is ready to play again so I would play him with Lescott.Dzeko may have missed chances on Monday,but what centre forward hasnt?Also he laid on two goals,which is great team play,and his passing and general play was a lot better than last season for me!! 

That's the problem every1s comparing Mondays performance to last season Dzeko was awful last season so anything wd be an improvement on last season

No, I'm comparing Negredo in pre season to Dzeko in pre season.

Pre season means nothing. Fro what I saw, apart from the Milan game, no1 was worth writing home about. 
Give Negredo a start and Dzeko on the bench til the 2nd half for me. It's not a case of dropping anyone. Negredo needs time to gel as well and as the next 3 games are all relatively comfortable games (on paper) now is an ideal time to give Negredo and Jovetic a go

Same team as Monday....but with Micah in for Vinny if he's fit. If not, Garcia in for Vinny.

Now Dzeko looks to be putting in a shift, it would be foolish to drop him now.....the last thing we need is lazy, non-goalscoring striker.

The boss says Micah is injured and may be ready for next week.

Jovetic is still not 100% so he'll not take part tomorrow.

I want to keep playing Dzeko as long as he is getting those chances, working hard and sticking a few away. If he fails, then Negredo can start.

Agree Dawg, he needs 3-4 games at least and then we look if he has not scored.  I see a brace from him tomorrow personally.

Anybody know if Bellamy is fit? Curse of the ex player springs to mind?

I also think we will see Nasty and Lescott tomorrow so no mad rush for a new player?
