So the draw for the old League cup has been made and we're up against Wigan.  At home.  Are we happy with that?  Do we want to see a strong showing to make a statement of intent at winning something, or are we okay with the pielanders hoofing us out of two trophies in the space of four months?

Personally, I want to see Pantilimon in goal for this and a decent side that will win at a canter.  I don't care that this cup is seen as being unimportant; any trophy is better than none.

And we've got a relatively easy draw, too.  There's a lot of PL vs PL clashes in the third round:

Rags v Liverpool
West Ham v Cardiff
West Brom v Arsenal
Villa v Spurs
Fulham v Everton

That first draw looks pretty tasty - hoping for a win for the dippers there Very Happy

Good draw for us. We should beat Wigan at home with our 2nd team even though we didn't manage it with our 1st

Home advantage and the fact that Everton are now Wigan in disguise should help us
