Good News for football
with the announcement this morning of Ginger Bollocks finishing his football career, their was a collective sigh of relief across the premier league. Zaba and the rest of the prem will now go into games with the rags free from worry of the impending late tackle of the hachet man. goodbye and good riddance to the worst tackler the game has ever seen.

MDP...sorry but they will still need eyes in the back of their heads for any stray elbow when the balls 20 yards away

There may have been 1 or 2 worse tacklers Si but i get where you're coming from fella. He really is a nasty little git that i'm sure no-one'll miss. He probably decided to call it a day after witnessing his sides humiliation on Saturday night.

Their will always be a fresh scumbag flouting the laws at the swamp, but i'm glad to see the end of his late tackles, and pundits excusing him of these incidents because of his 'talents'.

Re: Good News for football
Morning Den, their are some nasty fuckers out there who go into tackles hard and people do get injured. but players like ginge, who act like butter would'nt melt, who has known for years how bad he is at tackling should have controlled the 'red mist' and should'nt have been allowed to get away with such cynical fouls. baconface is as much to blame and so are blinkered refs.

Re: Good News for football
Yeah, you'd have thought that over the years he'd have been able to time atleast 1 tackle right. For somebody to constanly commit late "tackles" and more often than not get away with it, baffles you doesn't it? Although when you've got Howard Webb reffing you 99 games out of 100, he was always going to stay on the pitch even after 6 or 7 cynical fouls.

one the best players to ever play in the prem IMO, well respected all over the world for his football ability.

Newton, he was an ace player without doubt, could not tackle but thats another point.
I met him years ago in Oldham, he sold his new carpet that he bought to one of my mates and delivered it himself, seemed sound to me and kept his head down and did his job.

Chez is still locked up, John has persuaded Fiz to run away to Scotland with him.
Re: Good News for football
no question he had loads of ability ONH, some of his goals wil live long in the memory banks, the volley against Villa that bounced down off the bar was a special goal. Only one England manager got the best out of him (Keegan), and Sven putting him wide left was without doubt one of the worst mistakes he made (among many). But some of the tackles he made were ridiculous, he was very lucky he did'nt have more red cards in his career, and the red shirt helped IMO.

I can't get used to this. All these comments about Ginge's inability to tackle and the mods haven't removed it.
Personally thought he was a good player that said I hate him for obvious reasons.

Just a pity the ginger cunt went through his career without him being on the receiving end

Re: Good News for football
I have to say - being neutral as possible, he was a fantastic player. Shit tackler, but apart from that he never bad mouthed us, never got into controversies but seemed a model pro.
We can think he was a rag through and through - and probably hated us.....but you surely can't deny his quality over a long period of time.
I met him on a few occasions at a five-a-side indoor centre in Milnrow where his lad played during the week - and he seemed very down to earth, quiet and was always willing to sign autographs to any United fan present.
We don't develop enough talents like him in this country - thank god United don't.....but he deserves some respect for his talent IMO....regardless of club.

Blueboy
I wish you would get rid of those tidder's.
As for your comments about "Him" fair play he played at the top level long enough to show his quality and tended to end up in the papers for the right reasons.
He was still a rag though...

Dirty Ginga Cunt
The look on his face when he studded Zabba's thigh was one of pure malice & I will always remember him for that!
Great midfielder like that other vile bastard Keane but a right dirty cunt make no mistake

I like the way all these clowns slur bobby and that idiot york, calling the ginger cunts retirement as a tragedy and a huge loss to the club!!! what fucking planet are from, biased fuckheads.
yeah the guy WAS a great midfielder but anyone with any sense can see that he had become a liability for the rags.
The cunts not even leaving the club, they have given him a coaching role!

Re: Good News for football
That tackle on Zabba imo was one of those though that would of looked dirty for whichever player didnt get their first.
As for Keane while he may have been a great leader I don't think he was nearly as gifted as Scholes. Keane was just a thug not even a hard man at that, i'd love to play against the twat just for Alfie.

Re: Good News for football
IGK - I know what you're saying, being a rag.....but he was at one time, one of the best players in the world. Most ex pro's from the early 90's, 2000's have always named his as the complete player - including Zidane. Not many players get that kind of acknowledgement.
I agree PGsus - wish he would have stayed on another couple of seasons - as he was in decline.
Rag maybe - but no doubting his ability as a professional footballer - regardless of club.
"Boobies are staying!!!"

Re: Good News for football
I've never subscribed to the bad tackler tag, which always suggests it's in some way excused as he's not good at tackling.I've always thought it deliberate and he's quite simply one of the dirtiest bastards who's ever played the game
Cunt is a fair assessment

Re: Good News for football
Ok TMG Dirty he was but there was more to his game than that.
Like I said in the world of the modern footballer at least he made the papers for the right reasons apart from the tackles. (No Boning his team mates birds, No doing the dirty on his wife, His mum wasn't a shoplifter) If he had been born a Blue he would be ok
No seriously Blueboy ah lass wants to know why my eyes keep going square and I can't stop smiling when I'm on a football forum.

Re: Good News for football
Yep I agree Shandy there was more to his game than being a dirty fucker BUT imo he was never a 'great' midfielder. He couldn't tackle for toffee.
Vieira was a better MF player in his hey day. He could head, tackle, pass, shoot & was a great captain. Bryan Robson was better as well & not dirty at all
There's no doubting Scholes was a great servant to United though. Shame he didn't have the balls to play longer for England

Re: Good News for football
For all the best of his generation he wasnt even the best at United. Both Giggs and Beckham were better. Beckham captained England ffs and also won european titles with 2 clubs.
Its nice to eulagise about a player when they retire but they should at least keep it within the bounds of belief.

Re: Good News for football
Can't really compare wingers to central midfielders lee, he was one of englands best for a decade but not in the same league as the likes of Viera.
Apparently he quit england for "to be with his family"! pathetic excuse! well thats what the brain dead one slur bobby said! he should really keep his gob shut!

Re: Good News for football
Beckham played in both positions PG but I take your point about Giggs. Beckham proved time and again for both United and England that he had the skills to lead from the front. He could be a petulant sod as well but at the end of the day he was a better midfielder than scholes.
