Re: Swansea sack Laudrup
They may not be sure where he'll be next season but they should have made sure they stay in the PL for starters.

Oh, almost certainly.TMG wrote:Most stupid sacking yet !
Still, we all thought Adkins sacking by Southampton was mental, but we know now that they had a plan and nobody can argue that Poccettino has done a cracking job there. So unless the Swans board have an equally capable boss to sweep in, it has to go down as the stupidest sacking ever.

What a time to sack him too, just before their derby game. If they go onto get beat this weekend, i think the Chairman's gonna come in for some stick.

I think this one goes a lot deeper than results, that seems to just be the catalyst. He was likely to bugger off in the summer.

Must say though, it's unusual for Swansea...so maybe something has gone on in the background that we don't know about.

Re: Swansea sack Laudrup
Swansea are believed to have sacked manager Michael Laudrup because of a row over the amount of holidays he was taking.
The Danish boss parted company with the Swans last night in what turned out to be a surprise move, despite the club’s recent run of poor form.
However, the real reason behind the departure has apparently emerged – with Laudrup said to have been given the boot after taking another holiday during the season.
According to the Daily Mirror, Laudrup opted to cancel training and take a two-day trip to Paris after Swansea lost their crunch relegation clash with West Ham at the weekend.

If true, his priorities obviously weren't with Swansea then......correct decision made by the Chairman.

Re: Swansea sack Laudrup
More like he buggered off for a sneaky job interview, sounds like he was off anyway, they just preempted it.
Trouble is they have to pay up his contract now, if he was leaving off his own back it wouldn't cost them.
