Isco in the summer Empty Isco in the summer

Post by blueboy Mon Feb 17, 2014 5:01 am

MAN CITY will be given a second chance to sign Spain starlet Isco in the summer in a £30 million deal.
Attacking midfielder Isco, 21, is unsettled at Real Madrid as he is not a first choice under Carlo Ancelotti.
The Spanish international had agreed to join City last year and be re-united with his former Malaga manager Manuel Pellegrini.
But Real then hijacked the deal – and City refused to get involved in an auction increased by agent fees allegedly driven by Isco’s father.
City boss Pellegrini was upset at the time – as is Isco now at his failure to establish himself at Madrid.
Former Chelsea boss Ancelotti has told Isco it’s a situation he’ll have to deal with. The player – whose full name is Francisco Roman Alcaron Suarez – is now deciding on his future and it’s believed he would seriously consider a move to City.
That would put the ball in the court of one of his mentors – Pellegrini.

City, who would face competition from AC Milan, would NOT be prepared to include Real target Sergio Aguero in the deal.
The Blues, meanwhile, are geared up for the visit of owner Sheikh Mansour for Tuesday night’s glamourous Champions League date against Barcelona.
If he attends it will be his first appearance at the Etihad for almost four years.

Maybe play him along side Yaya or even give Yaya abit more of a rest every now and again....you could even play him along side/just behind Serge.....selling Dzeko in the process.

Players like Isco can always fit in somewhere, but i'm sure he'll be told he ain't gonna start every game, which may jeopardize any move to City anyway.

Let's say we play with two strikers (Negredo and Aguero), ISCO would be fighting for an attacking MF slot against Nasri and Silva as Yaya and Fernandinho are gimmes.

We need to freshen up in the summer anyway and a player with his ability would keep Nasri and Silva on their toes.

We could rotate Nasri and Silva....even Negredo and Jovetic to accomodate him. Some of these are gonna get injured at some point (as they always have done in the past), to have someone of Iscos calibre pushing/fighting with them and stepping in can only be good for the team.

Bollox to him and his father ! He had his chance

He's going to be in the same position with us so why bother.

Sick to death of mercenaries and their hangers on, you make your bed and you lie in it for me.

TMG you're spot on!
Let it be a lesson to any player that thinks we're not good enough for them (or their bloody dad).

Don't people deserve a 2nd chance?

Tell Madrid we'll take him off their hands for £20M and they can keep paying some of his wages as well. They need the money, we can play hardball.

I know we need defenders. I'm expecting a CB, a DM, an AM and a RB in the summer, maybe even a striker.

We've shown that we can struggle when we lose Fernandinho (and Garcia) or whilst Nasri and Aguero were out. Another good attacking midfielder will help cover any Nasri/Aguero absence.
