Silva, barn door and banjo in one sentence?  That was a gritty performance with 10 men.  Silva was outstanding - worked his proverbials off.  Goals by Silva and Dzeko - who'd a thought it!!  So proud today - that they overcame the odds and put in a shift.  Passing was dodgy for a while - beginning of the first half - but better towards the end.  Excellent result which we really needed to stay in the hunt.  Well done.

Yep...it wasn't me, but I did say earlier in the week...Silva needs some shooting practice....he's been awful all season from the edge of the area...but today, brilliant finish and absolutely world class performance...Dzeko...good finish when he had nothing to think about...but it's the same old same old...5 chances to score one goal.

Brilliant defensive performance today and as much as we all give the 2 donkey's grief, Gracia and DeM did really well...

Credit where it's due.....but Nasri and Yasa...were average at best....

Silva was brilliant today but VK was disappointing from the start then the bad decision to turn the wrong way and get dispossessed then pull the guy down instead of trying to chase and lean into him or force him wide. The first minute the ball was played to Long just outside corner of the box and rather than stand firm and give him no space to turn VK sticks an unnecessary boot in and gives them a free kick in a dangerous area.
Dzeko was as infuriating as ever.

Nerve wracking 'til Dzeko scored wasn't it Bluey?  Still - if they can overcome those sort of odds - Kompany off and 10 men for most of the match - then that should give us confidence to win the make up matches.  I know it was only Hull - but we weren't at home and Aguero is not an option for a while. 

Kompany was brilliant for us in the last two matches tho' MCM - I think he just panicked.

Agree Wensdi...nerve wracking wasn't the word until Dzeko finally took his chance.

Brilliant performance considering...their confidence and morale must have been at a real low after the past week...so to show that spirit...without our leader, down to 10 men, no Aguero, Negredo nowhere to be seen....Nasri and Yaya both off form...excellent display..and if that doesn't give them a big boost, to say...the last week is finished, it's all about now, then nothing will.

Great character today..something we've lost for the past month.

Didn't see it, but considerin we had 10 men for 80 minutes, it was a great result......well done to all concerned.

Yeah...real good 'dig-in' performance....and who knows, Vinny being sent off may have made them really dig deep and play for each other......Silva was sublime....and how much is he worth to us!! Absolutely brilliant.

I'm well pleased with that result. It shows we've got the mentality to keep going and if we keep it up, we may even have a title shot!

Silva must be worth a mint now. Hopefully it's going to continue, we've been missing his big performances.

I thought it was Clichys best performance for over a year and Garcia was excellent as well

Exactly Leo, I work there a bit and there are some nice places in Hull. Grimsby though just stinks of fish !
