Chelsea handed it on a plate again, and we should have had 2 pens in 1st 10 mins. Level playing field ......... NOT

Re: City Team v Fulham - Match Thread
And we get the softest out of the 3, but all were pens.

Well that was as bad as a performance at home as I've seen all season....no excuses now about tiredness nonsense...no excuses about injuries....we're playing possibly the worst team in the PL...and that's all we've got to offer?
Absolute shite MP.....kick them up the arse...it's awful.
Nasri off...Navas on the left, Silva on the right...get Milner next to Fernandinho and push Yaya forward....
Never a penalty....yes, we could've have 2 more...but still, this is shit...a usual first half home performance that we've seen for the past 2 months....rubbish.

We're just too slow getting forward. And I'd take Milner off, he's not been doing much for me.

10 men made it easier....but what a goal for Yaya's 3rd and Fernandinho's!
Much better 2nd half performance..we cannot start like that on Tuesday!

Not a 5 star performance, but good enough. We didn't look great against the bottom team and the sending off helped make a flattering scoreline.
If Utd. beat the hammers tonight, they will pose a stern test midweek.

What game were you watching Leo - I thought Milner had a great game and looked like the only one trying.

Re: City Team v Fulham - Match Thread
Milner was awful he couldn't pass more than 2 yards, the commentator slagged of Demichelis for easily getting beaten on his outside. That incident came from Milner trying a cocky back flick which totally sold Zabba and pulled Demi out of position to cover the winger that zabba should've been picking up. Yes he had a couple of good shots but his crossing was woeful, and as stated his passing was that of a 5 year old. Time & again he got to the edge of the box then picked the wrong option by going back to beat the player again so instead of putting a dangerous ball in on a slippery surface which would be hard to defend he cut the ball back to the edge of the area so the Fulham back line then had the attacking city players facing them, easier to defend than a ball in behind.

Sorry wensdi he might of been trying but nothing he did came off. He was trying my patience if that counts?

Milner had a decent game, the situations you're talking about when Milner chose not to cross were because only Negredo was in the box surrounded by red shirts so pulling the ball back to where city players were waiting was the right ball.
Fulham were awful and we never got out of first gear

Re: City Team v Fulham - Match Thread
I thought most players were poor in the first half. Very slow, methodical. Yes, Milner gave the ball away in the first half, however, there were limited options for him as Nasri wasn't finding space and Negredo was isolated.
2nd half, clearly the tempo picked up and the second penalty killed off whatever spirit they could muster, and it was more about how many we were going to get.
They sat back, this allowed Yaya to get into good positions behind Silva and Negredo...his passing was excellent in the second half...and I thought this was where Milner did really well on the left.
I think it'll be that effort needed for Tuesday night...but right from the first whistle.
Shame Negredo couldn't get on the score sheet....as soon as he does, I reckon he'll go on another run of goals.
2 brilliant strikes by Yaya and Fernandinho..and DeM gets a Lescott style tap in!

To be fair, my comment about Milner was made at half time. Second half he was much better.

Fair enough Leo. A guy I spoke too over here thought Milner had a great game too. Didn't Milner lay off that pass to Fernandinho when he scored?

Re: City Team v Fulham - Match Thread
Milner was awful I watched the full match and that was my opinion. I have seen him have some great games but that frankly was not one of them. The situations were when we had 3 players in the box waiting for a pass the ball is laid to Milner who chooses to come back on to his left after beating the player and could put in a cross with his right. The chance has then gone so a lay off back to the edge of the area or further is the only option. Yes I am talking about situations as it is in those situationss that games can be won or lost. Sorry but for me Milner was poor.

Negredo was also very poor by the standards he has set, but again as with Milner we know he can be brilliant as can most of the City team, Just yesterday I was thinking that had Dzeko put in Negredo's performance then a number would be clamouring for his head same with Lezza. Everyone is entitled to an off day as long as the other 9 or 10 are not having them also. The derby will I am sure bring out all that is best about City.

Re: City Team v Fulham - Match Thread
Considering the scoreline - we had an awful game. Nasri didn't figure in it much, Yaya's passing was woeful - his third goal being fantastic though. Negredo seems to do better playing with Aguero.
For me, Milner made a great flick after 6 minutes to Zab who didn't score, laid a great ball on for Negredo (who then got kicked in the goolies) and got a penalty call and he laid a great ball on for Kolarov who hit the crossbar. Second half Milner complimented our flair players with his tireless work ethic.
Have to agree to disagree then SkyBlueoz

Agree to disagree is fair enough, that is what forums are about, opinions. I am sure I have agreed with you on many points wensdi but this is not one of them. I respect everyone is entitled to their opinion (except uniturd supporters) who due to past arrogance are not entitled to an opinion.

I think she may have thought his boot went under his butt cheeks and caught his 'goolies'.
