Risky starting with Aguero. Let's hope Dzeko plays a decent game.

I was wrong..thought Aguero would've started...
Lets hope if Dzeko gets a chance..he makes sure he finishes them.

We've not been dicked like this in ages. This is torture. Playing awful and get seem to get the ball.
Milner on for Navas, Ageuro for Dzeko I think. If they win this, league is theirs, so need to go for it now.

Fucking pathetic defending.
Joe Hart - wtf is he doing for the first goal??
Gerrard gave us a warning...but then again, we couldn't pick up Shirtyl.
Why Milner wasn't on for Yaya - fuck knows. Fernandhino will jow have to play the Yaya role...but I'd rather have Milner doing that!!
Time for Aguero...get that useless fucker up front off.
Navas, Nasri...both done fuck all...time for a massive gamble...Aguero and Negredo on for Dzeko and Nasri.
Aguero can play wide on the left and Negredo up front.

Pulled it back from the dead, bossing the game and looking most likely to score and the VK hands them a fucking gift

I'm sure he feels terrible MCM. It was always going to be Liverpool's day though - they feel like such victims of injustice - I don't mean the Hillsborough tragedy though. We almost had them - and without YaYa too. Good 30 minutes in the second half and we were denied a penalty. Thems the breaks.

Unlucky. It's not over yet.
Swansea win today, then Chelsea beat Liverpool. We've got a decent run in (despite Everton), can be done!

Re: City vs Liverpool Match Thread
Fuck the scousers and their mourning....we paid our respects, then the ref went and fucking shafted us. The occasion got to the prick Clattenburk.
Happy to give a red with 3 minutes to go...but the clearest booking of the day he failed to notice...wanker.
Still...shit defensive display by Vinny today..1st and 3rd goal were partly his fault.
Shit goal scoring anticipation by Dzeko on 2 occasions...when any striker worth their salt would know where the ball is going to b crossed into..not him though.
Silva brilliant....Milner superb when he came on.
Shame about Yaya...he seems to do this in big games....always picks up knocks.
Very pissed off with the 1st half effort and the fact that we waited until we were 2-2 to bring Aguero on...Dzeko was fucking useless and should've been pulled at half time.

Can you imagine the shit Demichellis, Garcia and the like would come in for if they'd have made that mistake, but because it's Vinny nothin'll be said.....but he won't escape my wrath.
His fuck up most definitely lost/cost us the game (and probably the title), we were in complete ascendancy at the time and in totally command. We not only conceded the goal but lost all impetus for the rest of the game. Horrendous error

Re: City vs Liverpool Match Thread
I knew it would be shit so I went out, serious brownie points for that. Knew they would bottle it. However we lost this league in October losing 4 games. Have to hope Chelsea do us a favour but I can't see us winning at Everton either.

only positive the year we won he title 7th last game lost to Arsenal 1-0 Away won the next 6 reeling in the 8pt lead Uniturd had. This season 6 to play & a 7 pt deficit. Actually hoping for a Chelsea win today as then they would only be 2 pts behind Liverpool & still to play them a win will see them a head a draw will play into our hands so lets hope they are in a position to go for the win but only obtain the draw.

Haven't seen the game, took the family out and came back late.
It's not in our hands now but, hopefully, they'll slip up somewhere.

Re: City vs Liverpool Match Thread
I listened to the game upto the point we equalised but couldn't really concentrate on it as my daughter was competing in a local show jumping event.......my problem is not what Rodgers was saying or where the pressure lies.........it's why on earth can't we cope when a team plays at a high tempo and presses the ball quickly when we have it........this season we have been found wanting when playing against this kind of team..........we all knew due to the emotion of the day that Liverpool were gonna be more than up for it........and we capitulated again under that pressure yet somehow managed to turn it around and could have ended up with a result had vinny not made an almighty fcuk up.....WTF was he doing going with his right foot when it was coming across his body..?
Our only saving grace is that we can draw on the experience of 2 years ago.......we can still put enormous pressure on Liverpool by winning our remaining games.......if they win the league then fair play to em.......neutrals are being told they should be supporting Liverpool......WHY......Liverpool have two diving little wankers that try it on in every god damn match and yesterday was no different........

Re: City vs Liverpool Match Thread
Some people said that the point against Arsenal was a good point but we should have got all three. Look how bad they are at the moment.
We've seriously fucked up the season. Some silverware is nice but it's the least desirable of the four.
I can take going out to Barca (who aren't as good as they used to be) but far too many times we haven't been up for games.
There's no way we should have lost in the FA Cup to Wigan, we have too many 'good' players for that.
Navas doesn't bring enough to the table for me but he is consistently picked over Jimmy.
Vinny always has at least one big mistake in a game in him.

Re: City vs Liverpool Match Thread
Why did we start off on the back foot once again?
Why didn't we set off like we did at Arsenal and Utd and at home to Spurs??.....we're too cautious, that's why.
When we attack and play with pace, we're untouchable, but for some reason in the 2nd half of the season we're only doing it for the odd games.....why??.
Because we didn't do it yesterday, it allowed Liverpool the impetus from the off and the management should NEVER have allowed it....all of a sudden we're 2-0 down and playing catch up against the league leaders away from home. I honestly think our inconsistant starts have hindered us this season and will ultimately cost us the title.
