Opening day fixtures - Swansea City
Could we have asked for anything better than this?

Swansea (h) then two away games at Bolton and Spuds.
Those three games could easily define our season (though a bit early to say that!).
Scum away at West Brom and then home against Arsenal and Spuds isn't an easy start.

A good opening for once, Swansea should bring a few up to ours aswell.
Spuds will want Harry out by the end of August with their opening 3 games.

Away after every CL game, unbelievable.
At least if we progress we won't have to worry about trips to the swamp, Anfield, Stamford Bridge or WHL.

Just looking through the full season and tbf we've got all the other top teams pretty much spread out, apart from Arsenal and Chelsea in December, fucking well happy with it all, not one month where you would say it will be tougher than the rest.

We have Everton at home early on, which is good coz they don't usually start their season until Oct/Nov
Not a bad end to the season either with the only rivals being the scum at home in the last 5 matches

Happy with it, main problem for us is going to be when it gets congested with the other three competitions we will be competing in.

England v Holland match 3 days before season starts - hope DeJong, Barry, Milner etc., don't get tired before our first match!!!

Money grabbing at it's finest, I hope all our players are 'injured'.

arn't all these games "subject to change" anyway?
Once Sky get there claws into them & the CL draw is made wont a load of these games be moved like normal, early sat morning, sat tea, sunday dinner ect.
United very rarely play city/l/pool at 3 on sat, its the same with all the other "big games", most end up getting changed.
Nice to see United getting a easy start eh lads

Re: Opening day fixtures - Swansea City
i see dalgleish is unhappy about the saturday fixtures and i don't blame him.
most players will return from international duty on thursday morning in the early hours.
they can't train properly until friday and then they are playing on saturday.
if you are away from home, then it is even worse. norwich have got to go all the way to wigan which will be a bit of a trek. good job they don't have too many international players!
let's hope that our game is switched to the sunday.

Am I the only one NOT happy to start with Swansea?
The newly promoted teams are all buzzing at the start of the season, and there's normally some shocks - Hull 2-1 Arsenal, Blackpool winning 4-0 on opening day last year.
I'd rather start with a Sunderland or Fulham!

Sorry Emjay but Swansea at home's a great opener, if it was away then you may have a point but this really should be 3pts in the bag fella.
I agree ONH, there will be plenty of changes to the fixture list, i'm quite sure City will have their fair share of Sunday games throughout the season.
