Ok...so he's decided to stick to the usual format...very little energy to keep up with an excellent Swansea MF....massive games needed from TLF, Fernandinho, Navas, Sicknote and Clichy.

A win today is an ABSOLUTE must for the 3 points and confidence going into the Bayern game.

I'm seeing a lot of possession, but not much end result. Serge is clearly a marked man and Jovetic just isn't doing it for me right now. Nasri and TLF are going backwards too much. Dimi is doing well enough, though, he's broken up a fair bit of play.

And who knew Clichy could hit a ball like that?

Hoping for a much more energetic second half.

Not a brilliant game - but we needed those 3 pts - and we got 'em.  Happy with that.  We miss Silva's creativity - but at least we saw a glimpse of what TLF can do - with that second goal.

Sergio looked well off the pace today.....

TLF - good goal and at least a more influential performance.

Jovetic - apart from his goal, still ineffective for me.

Navas...great cross for the first goal, but still a bit part player.

Thought DeM and Nasri were very good today...Clichy better and a wonderful shot.

Still...3 massive points. Would love Bony in our squad at the moment....we need something a little different up front. Not sure Jovetic is the solution...and Dzeko definitely ain't.

was pleased with  the overall performance. Touching something near last seasons displays. Defence still a bit shaky but better. Much better  from tlf. wish he would put that type of effort in every week. Fernandinho looked decent most of the time just got caught out twice.I like the shape better with tlf & fernandinho. The Octopus needs to sit just in front of the back 4 to make the formation work if all 3 are included. Navas always 1 touch to many.

I thought the first half was cracking actually - just a lackluster second half.  I know Sergio is God like to us - but he really needs to learn to pass the ball - he hogs it too long and either gets sandwiched between two of the opposing team or loses it in the tackle.  Just saying....
