United sign Valdes and are after Vlaar

Talk of Vlaar for £1.5M. I'd say he's worth a punt as he's not bad. But Jolo wasn't that bad either.

Why on earth would a team like Villa who are desperate to stay in the PL, sell a player who had been their most consistent player all season, to United for a paltry £1.5m?

Just doesn't make any footballing or commercial sense whatsoever. If they sell him for that - then Villa as a club are doomed.

Surely they would pretty much relegate themselves with this sale as they wouldn't get anyone for that.

That's the way they should do it Bluey, but he doesn't have to sign.

He can go for free in the summer and command a huge signing on fee. Well, maybe not huge but a few million at least.
