City vs WBA - Live Thread
Ok....so it seems that TLMLF has a problem, as does Kolorov and Milner, even though he trained, probably will be rested - or on the bench.
So, will we see MP 'freshen' up the team with the likes of Fernando, Lampard, Nasri, Jovetic?
I'm guessing he may well do and we might not see a standard 4-4-2, more a 4-1-3-2.

Re: City vs WBA - Live Thread
Another match - another round of optimism......
We need a massive performance today - quick play, plenty of goals, solid at the back - basically a repeat of the Newcastle game. Will we get it? Not sure, but 3 points are massive psychologically - it'd mean we are only 3 points behind Chelsea at 15:00.

Thought he said Milner was injured???
Glad he's started with Bony....let's see what he's got to offer then.

Milner had a knock and he said with all the games he's played, he wasn't sure.
Guess he's got it in for Nasri....don't know why. It's not like everyone else were brilliant on Weds.
Got a feeling Nasri will be sold in the summer....

Would rather have Fernadinho in for Fernando, but overall I like the look of that. Navas although shit at it, is needed to supply crosses with 2 up front.
WBA will be playing for 0-0 so lets see what we can do.
We just need that early goal and lets kick on. Make the rag game not as important in a few weeks.

City U18's now winning 3-1 against WBA....let's hope the first team can at least replicate that.

Re: City vs WBA - Live Thread
Just had that argument with my lad....I say no, he says yes!
Well done Bony....keep the naysayers quiet.
Aguero looks desperate to score....please MP, don't bring him off!!!
He's 2 away from his 100th goal and my FF captain...
Thought Bony's has showed today how he played for Swansea - happy to track back as well....I actually like the way Aguero has dropped deeper to receive the ball and left Bony to occupy the CB's. Granted, it's against 10 men, but that could easily be a way forward.
Referee....what are you thinking with the red card - you were 5 yrds away with his shirt number clearly in view!

Re: City vs WBA - Live Thread
It's night and day compared to Burnley, this. Everyone pulling in the right direction, everyone putting on a shift. First goals for Bony and Fernando... Just need Mangala and little Joe to score and that's everyone with a goal!
Press on in this second half, put these on the wrong end of a massacre.

Bugger, gave Sergio one last chance as my FF captain rather than Kane...

Re: City vs WBA - Live Thread
Saw the first half and we did look to be working more effectively. Would still like to see more crosses coming in earlier rather than turning back again. The sending off made a big difference though so not sure how much we can take from the game. Good to see Bony more involved and a cool finish.

43 attempts on goal and 16 on target. We pressed constantly - so we should take a lot from the game

Re: City vs WBA - Live Thread
I honestly don't think the sending off made much difference, WBA came with the intent of 10 behind the ball. So it was 9 they didn't bring on a sub to alter the shape after the sending off which tells you it was a team set up to defend anyway.
