Europe's top clubs to petition UEFA?
OK, so it's in the daily mail (akin to soiled toilet paper) and it really is cheap and shit journalism.
Because the Arsenal Trust has objected to the city deal, the Daily Mail expand this to end up with a made up story that Europe's top clubs are to petition UEFA to block city's deal.
This really is made up and just negative.

IF and its a big if, there is any truth in this, then all it means is that all the so called elite clubs are running scared of the new kids on the block. I am sure the sheik has had all the details checked by the best legal minds in the world and we have nothing to fear, the blue moon will continue to rise

Liverpool get £20M a season for their shirt sponsor deal and they haven't even got European football and they aren't challenging for the premier league title.
Shouldn't UEFA be investigating them?

John has it spot on imo, surely Citys top brass will have looked into this with a fine toothed comb.
Whatever City seem to do everyone opposes it, sounds like sour grapes and jelousy once again to me.

Which clubs?
The Fail on Sunday seemed to have forgotten.
Would it be -
Bayern Munich with their huge deal over the Allianz Arena?
AC Milan with their history of corruption and 'soft' loans off Silvio Berlusconi?
Juventus with thie history of corruption, lack of success and waning support?
Real Madrid, in outrageous debt despite being bankrolled by the Spanish government and Madrid City Council.
Barcelona after their deal with the Qatar government.
Arsenal who have gone backwards since their mega-deal with Emirates.
I can't think of too many more apart from possibly United who have more sponsors than Jimmy Saville on marathon day.

FFP regulations will be nye on impossible to implement. European law far outweighs what UEFA see as fair play and if they try and restrict clubs business income in any way, they will find themselves in court.

Scared shitless. And not the clubs, but FIFA. They look at our beloved club and think, "Who are they, though?" We are no more to them than any one of the other 80-odd FA league clubs that have had nothing to do with the Champions League.
And then they think, "Well, if WE don't care who they are, why should anyone else?" Their point being that a final consisting of United and Barca will attract a massive audience. Us vs Barca? Maybe. Us vs Udinese? Probably not.
And then they think, "Well, if the people aren't bothered, then neither will the advertisers!" And such a final would see TV companies not bid in such large numbers for the rights as advertisers would be uninterested in spending a fortune advertising to nobody.
So FIFA lose out financially. Poor them
So in a way, I'm glad of all this publicity. If we get to the final (big if, but let's consider it) then maybe people will watch in their masses, even if it's just to hope we lose.
And if FIFA decide to kick us out, then all we do is use our infinite wonga to hoover up every great player in the world and become a real-life Football Manager team. Can't see them persisting in keeping out all the players that the fans all want to see in action.
