I'm not sure Nasri has disappointed. He was brilliant last season until hacked down at Newcastle and looked like he might be getting back to his best before injury and petulance seemed to have finished his season off.

Back to the main thing, £70M is an awful lot of money so Pogba really has to be the dogs bollocks for us to spend that much.

I agree that Barca and Madrid would be favoured options for him.

Pogba and de Bruyne really would kick start our summer and I'd be excited for next season.

He's been lauded by all the very best clubs. I don't think we take a chance of trying to negotiate the deal down by a few million here or there.

He's young, he's the exact player we need and he's a very, very good player.

I think it's the right move.

If PSG offered a tentative £58m.....just show Juve how serious we are and offer the £70m. Tell Pogba and his agent how he'll be very important for us and because of that, we'll offer him £250k pw.

If Di Maria at 27/28 is worth £60m....and Falcao £55m....then £70m for a player of such talent may turn out to be a bargain.

I agree - if we got De Bruyne and Pogba....i'd certainly be excited for next season and if it takes us getting rid of ALL of the players mentioned, then so be it.

We can then seriously look at one more striker (Lacazette for me), Sterling as a possibility, and maybe a new LB.

I think we need to make our intentions clear and very positive. If we can bag Pogba early then maybe most top young players would be lining up, if they weren't already, to join us. Barkley, Sterling, de Bruyne, Lacazette etc. would be drooling at the prospect of joining us and linking up with our existing top talent and those that we are buying.

surely if the rumours are to be believed Dzeko, Kolarov  Jovetic  & Nasri have at some point been linked with Juventus then offer 1 or 2 of them for say 30 million of the price of Pogba.

Yeah....that's an option, but to get him early would be a massive coup as Dawg said.
