Re: Viera backs the idea of 'B' teams playing in Leagues
He said that the gulf between reserve team type football and the PL is too vast.
There was a very interesting piece in the guardian yesterday saying that Pogba was well off away from OT. Looking at what happened to some of the other youngsters at the time, he's the only one to have really made it.
Welbeck, England international but on the bench at Arsenal.
Jones, Smalling, Evans aren't pulling up trees.
Cleverley, England international but now fighting against relegation with Aston Villa.
Fabio and his bro etc.

Yeah, but Porto had a large percentage of their team against the EDS playing in Portugal's B league....and still got beat 1-0 by our kids.
I do think it would make sense - solely from the point of view that you can keep your playing philosophy throughout all teams, whilst training together at the Etihad Campus.
Convincing Greg Dyke will be difficult though - you know, that ex footballer with loads of footballing experience.

Porto were all over us most of the game weren't they?
Don;t we play 4-3-3 in all age groups except the 1st team?

Not sure it's a 4-3-3.....it's more a 4-2-3-1 a la the 1st team.
