As per the terms of his loan agreement, he will move to Villa in the summer for £2.5M. Buying him outright was part of the deal if Villa stayed up.

He looks cheap at that price. Currently, he isn't playing as he doesn't fit into the formation that Sherwood is playing. He could end up leaving Villa in the summer and I don't see why they can't get £5M for him as he is still young.

It's just the way we do business it seems. There should have been a clause in the deal in case he moved on. We've been here before with Caicedo selling him to Levante for €1M after they took up the option after a great loan spell (13 goals in 27 games) and they immediately sold him to Lokomotiv Moscow for €7.5M!!!
