Re: Watch Toronto v City Live tonight
Bloody Jesus Navas.....if he can't get a decent cross in or beat a Toronto player....what hope is there?
The defence in the second half were awful, especially Zaba.
Good to see some of the kids get a chance and no doubt, if the game goes ahead against Houston, we'll see the others get their chance.
Have to say - listening to Ian Darke nearly made me turn off. For the first 40 minutes, all he went on and on about, was how the press were against this game, the fans weren't happy and English clubs going over there is old hat and nobody cares any more.
Good to see him being positive about Soccer - the same game that no doubt gives him a decent living - prick.

Brilliant goal by Evans...City's passing, especially in the first half, was very slick - problem was, the finishing was poor...and Dzeko's still shit regardless of who he plays against.

Boyata is simply the luckiest Home Grown we have. Purely there for that reason.

We've always had this problem, it's the story of our season yet again. Dzeko is pants, Bony doesn't look ready and Silva needs ten attempts. Good strike by Evans, though, he dipped that one beautifully. Bin Dzeko off and bring him through, he can't possibly be any worse!blueboy wrote:Brilliant goal by Evans...City's passing, especially in the first half, was very slick - problem was, the finishing was poor...and Dzeko's still shit regardless of who he plays against.
How many times did he stand off his man??? Honestly, their forward is mid table Championship at best, just tackle the bleeder!blueboy wrote:Boyata really is awful.

I think Bony will be fine if he plays with Aguero or on his own. He holds the ball up brilliantly and you know Aguero and Silva will make runs around him...but Dzeko just couldn't be arsed to do that and when he did, his touch was pathetic.
Evans is a MF - but I think they have high hopes for him. Hope the game goes ahead tonight/tomorrow and we see Barker get a chance ahead of Navas and Angelino plays on the left with him.How many times did he stand off his man??? Problem is, if he's only playing one game, then nothing for 4 months - you can see why he's always so shit. Thought Zaba was worse when he came on.

In Zaba's defence, he's probably knackered. He played pretty much every game for us last season, then did a full World Cup, and then another mostly full season for us again.

They had to play a few established stars otherwise there'd be no point in the post season tour.

If you looked at the starting 11....there was only Fofana from the EDS.

Willy
Sagna
Boyata
Vinny
Kolorov
Silva
Fofana
TLMLF
Navas
Bony
Dzeko
....think there was a chance to add maybe 2 more EDS players in the starting 11.

1 kid starting is a poor show to be fair.
They really ought to be giving some of them at least 30 minutes. I'd like to see Angelino, Pozo and Barker play.
