Milner to United??

Steve Bates generally has the inside info on United - as a Man United fan as well.
Would Milner really cross the city?

No, I don;t think he would. I can see why Utd. would be interested in him though.

Re: Milner to United??
It is getting a bit boring now. All these offers we hear from Arsenal, Utd, Liverpool, from Italy and Spain are for teams who will win nothing (and not even challenge) or where he'd be just a bench warmer.

Re: Milner to United??
City gave him more playing time last season than anyone else and an improved contract to stay for another 2 or 3 years....yet he's still fannying about over his future.
Give him a date to decide, if he's not stated his intentions by then.....tell him he can go and let's move on without him. He ain't that fucking good anyway...arghhh!!!

Re: Milner to United??
Why is he holding talks with Arsenal/Liverpool? I just don't get it, Liverpool will offer him less than he gets at City and no CL football. He is also not guaranteed any more playing time than he gets with us, same applies to the gooners with the exception of CL football.

Re: Milner to United??
Exactly to get what he is asking for he is going to have to pick an Everton or Swansea type club.

Re: Milner to United??
Milner must be retarded Just cant see why he would go to Liverpool
A club in turmoil at the end of the season with Rodgers likely to be shown the door
Less money. Little chance of success. Europa League. Long way off top 4 & further away if they lose Sterling & will still have to compete for a place alongside Henderson, Coutinho, Lucas, Can, Allen, Ibe , Lallana & Sterling if he doesn't go

Re: Milner to United??
Sterling is probably going. Coutinho won't be far behind. Lallana hasn't settled into the team yet. Milner is better than Henderson, Lucas, Can and Allen.
He's clearly not bothered about glory or money or he'd stay with us. He's going because he wants to play and, looking at Liverpool's midfield, he clearly thinks there's room for him to get more game time because he's not up against a midfield squad who is, for the larger part, much better than he is.
That's all I can think of. I personally think he's insane...

Re: Milner to United??
he's going ti a top 6 club that won't be challenging for the league, but may have a shout in the cups. He's in the EL so that can be exciting if they get to the latter stages. He'll probably play every game and might even be made captain. He'll probably still make £120k per week rather than £150k with City so he'll be getting enough wedge and he'll get a signing on fee between £5M and £10M which will make up that shortfall and then some.

Re: Milner to United??
Also, he could look at who we are trying to sign and decide he'll be further down the pecking order. If we sign Pogba, de Bruyn and Sterling, there's no place for Jimmy. Even if we just got Pogba, Milner would be on the bench now that Yaya is staying.

He's clearly taken tips from Yaya on how to leave a club.
