I'm looking for any group coaching for kids, whatever the sport, especially for beginners. Searching on the web has been a pain in the arse. City used to do football schools, but all I can find these days is their expensive partnership with language schools providing football coaching and English lessons.

I'm trying to find stuff for my kids to do in the 1st two weeks of August. All I've got so far is a couple of Saturday lunchtimes at the National Cycling Centre. If I can't find sports they'll have to do 'activities' instead.

Based in Rochdale but I'll travel up to one hour for the right thing. Don't want anything where the kids have to stay overnight.

Top of the list is swimming and cycling.

Cheers.

Not sure how old they are or if you've got bikes already (and you), but Delamere Forest is great for the kids. We used to take our lads there when they were younger - they can cycle for miles and there's also Go Ape if they are old enough? My kids loved it. Cafe there as well.

Would only take you about 1 hour - down the M56 and off at the A49.

My kids are 6 and 8 but need stabilisers. I think there's plenty for two weeks especially as I think I've persuaded them to go for 5 days for gymnastics and street dancing.

The trail is smooth with paths. It's not like a local wood - it's designed for kids as well.

Take it your kids are girls then?

Big girls blouses! I'll have a look into the trail - may take the scooters if I bring them over.
