Is It Football Related

if I include the bit where I found myself sitting between a Spuds supporter and an Arsenal supporter at the wedding I went to in Hereford last week? I had so much fun with them both - it's hard to admit that they were both nice guys and we didn't get to blows. The gooner was particularly nice (sorry) and was not at all hostile about the Nasri situation. The Spuds fan was a little bit more argumentative especially when I had a go at 'Arry - but after a few bevvies we were really all good pals. Met a really nice City fan who said he would get me tickets any time I wanted next season (he was buds with Nellie Young) - so all in all - had a great time. There was just one small niggle - when one of the guys in our party - admitted he was a big Utd fan, I got the last word though - and as he was getting into his taxi - I whispered to him "Gary Neville is a .anker" - saw him laughing - he was a good sport, even though he has poor taste eh?

This week I am mainly having withdrawal symptoms after catching up on fish and chips, bakewell tart, treacle tart, Delia Smith's chocolate truffle torte and bacon and brie baguettes. Only managed one night in Manchester, but the weather was great and the food was too.

my brother-in-law is a mutd fan and he tries to be serious rather than smug when we have our football chats. maybe someone should tell him it doesn't work and i hope to be smugger than him within 2 years!
