City agree deal to sell Tevez
Apparently, the cunt is off to corinthians.
Let's hope we get a decent bit of wedge for him (I heard about £42-£44M)
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has said
that an agreement has been reached for the sale of Argentina striker
Carlos Tevez to Corinthians.
A £39m bid from the Brazilian club was rejected last week, with City believed to be holding out for £50m.
Tevez, 27, had said he wanted to leave the Premier League outfit to spend more time with his family in his homeland.
"We have an agreement with Corinthians but Carlos now is still a City player," Mancini told Sky Sports News.

Things seem to be getting sorted now.
Apparently Aguero said he's willing to take a pay cut to come to City, fuckin hell how much must he be on at Athletico?

i honestly don't believe that aguero is willing to take a pay cut to come to city.
he knows he can command to dollar and city pay top dollar.
i would expect something along the lines of tevez (higher than wazza).

Might just be his eagerness to come to City, as i too can't believe he'll end up taking a paycut.

Re: City agree deal to sell Tevez
i still don't understand why tevez is only worth £40M.
FFS henderson went for £20M, caroll for £35M and torres for £50M.
even though we have got more money than i thought we might, it just doesn't feel enough and we have to splash out more to get aguero.

A players only worth what someone else is willing to pay though Dawg.
To make £15m+ profit imo is still pretty good business, we all wish it was more but no-one else seems that interested at £45m+.

true shaken, but i'd like to see UEFA look at some of these transfers to ensure that they are 'fair value' rather than inflating the income of clubs.

Re: City agree deal to sell Tevez
I think its something to do with the ammount of tax, city might pay more but he will be taxed a lot more in this country, hence in real terms he would be taking a drop in wages. Possibly this should be factored into the fair play rules re amount in real term wages.

Re: City agree deal to sell Tevez
I'm not going to be churlish, like some of the rags, and say that the argentinian twat is crap. He clearly isn't. In fact he's quite a good player.
However, as a man he isn't fit to wear our shirt. Simple as that.
When you compare him to the likes of previous City players - Dickov, Goater, Quinn, Rosler, Caton, Watson, Doyle, Oakes et al, he would possibly win in terms of technical ability, but who do you love more?
Any one of those mentioned I would have as a godparent to my kids or as a drinking partner for me. But the argentinian, no fucking chance.
As far as I'm concerned, good riddance and let someone else put up with his sulking and his shitty manager.
The future is going to be much brighter now.

Re: City agree deal to sell Tevez
Not sure how plausible it really is but here's my theory;
Joorabchian puts up the money for Tev's transfer, come next season (or even january for that matter!) Tevez moves on to Spain for about £30m, (Tevez & Joorabchian make a killing in signing on fees etc). Meanwhile Corinthians end up owing Joorabchian about £10m plus interest payments for a player they have for 6 months hence Joorabchian makes a killing again!!
The man is a snake and we should not entertain him anywhere near our club again.

Re: City agree deal to sell Tevez
I feel anything past 40m is a fair price, considering his wages and the fact he wont command a huge sell-on fee anymore. Tis a good day!
An educated guess says Aguero will be on about the same as Ade due to the fact we can now offer champions league.

Re: City agree deal to sell Tevez
I won't be dissing CArlos for his City performances, he plays the only way he can 100%, the problem is that he lives on instinct on the pitch, chasing the ball down, and like a wunderkid in a team full of also rans, he tries to win the game singlehandedly almost everytime, hence the greedy bastard tag he is sometimes painted with.
It's his performances off it that stink of a guiding hand, I sometimes think Kia Jizzlobba is working Carlos just a little too much, ironic since Carlos goaded Neville with the sock puppet jibe!

Re: City agree deal to sell Tevez
This weekend met a steward who looks after the away teams at Birmingham St Andrews. He said last City match after the game Tevez refused to get on the team bus and left in a chaffeur driven car with a floozie who looked about 17. Seems each time this guy saw him he had some young girl with him. Clearly loves his team as much as his missus.
