I would have thought if he was that committed to the cause, saying he'll be back to his best next season...you'd have thought he'd be back in pre-season training, considering he's had the last 4 months off.

Anyone can find negatives if they want to. Who's to say Vinnie isn't going and getting bladdered every night? Ok, highly unlikely, but we only see one photo/short video of each. We don't know what they are doing with their time and how long it takes them to build up their fitness before the season starts.

I know what you mean Dawg.....but if anybody needs to ensure they start the season in full flight, it's Nasri. He was hugely impressive in a 2 month period last season, but the rest of the 6 months were a wash out for him.

I just think footballers need to remove themselves from social media....it creates issues like this one.

I agree with the social media thing. It's like Steven Fletcher posting a pic of his Lambo when Sunderland are fighting relegation and he's doing nowt to help them.
