Stones.....

Chelsea have had a £20M bid turned down and will be back. This lad is very promising and we should have been in for him last year (rather than Mangala). We should at least put a £30M bid in just to keep Chelsea honest.

Chelsea WON'T let this one go. They know Terry has 1 more season and they have a great record of CB signings.

Agree, we should be doing everything possible to challenge for his signature. Chelsea will come back with a £26m offer, we should add £2m to it. He's a great prospect and could easily play for another 10-15 years and he'll be an England Captain in the future for me.

I am willing to give Mangala another season to see how he has progressed....nobody pays £42m for a CB who is rubbish. He wasn't worth that money, but most of the top, top clubs were looking at him.

Martinez well pissed of with Chelsea. I think Everton will dig in on this one Stones himself already said he doesn't want to go, so it is the club's decision.

Stones can't really say anything but....he'll get the Delph/Sterling treatment otherwise, even though the Everton fans are slightly, ever so slightly more classier than the dippers!!

I don't care what they say anyway, we gave them Barry. Get a bid of £28m put in immediately and guarantee him a place. Mangala will have to fight Vinny and DeM for the other space - may even put Vinny in the "i need to pull my finger out" mode.

Stones looks seriously good IMO.

Great on the ball, great positional play, great in the air, quick.....these English CB's come along once in 10 years....the last one was Cahill and he's been excellent with Terry at the back for Chelsea.

Having spent over 40m quid on Mangala, we ain't gonna spend another 30 chasing Stones.

Stones SHOULD have been the one we spent the money on from the start.....but hey ho.

I'd be overjoyed if we sold Mangala, even for £20M, and bought Stones, even for £30M.
