Manchester United have had a record bid turned down for Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller according to Sport1 in Germany.
It claims the Reds tabled a whopping £69.5m bid for the striker but the bid has been turned down. It says Bayern had previously rejected a £57m offer from United for the 25-year-oold.

How soon they forget, it seems like yesterday that their bitter manager and fans were accusing the "noisy neighbours" of spending silly money on players and trying to buy the league. Strange how it only took one season without CL footy to turn that view on it's head lol

yeah and we got accused of throwing money at anyone who was available, buying for the sake of buying.
