Marco Reus
We should really be in for him if the rumours are true he'll be surplus to requirements at Dortmund and they are ready to cash in on him.
Also, Berahino to Spurs for £15m.....when you consider we have the 2 sicknotes sat on the bench, this would be another no-brainer and he's English.

Re: Marco Reus
He only just signed a new 5 yr contract at Dortmund in March why is he surplus to requirements?

Re: Marco Reus
They're about to sign another player in his position.
Maybe he signed that contract as a compromise to get more money back for the club and to give them another year?

Re: Marco Reus
I hope that's true because prior to the contract signing a lot of the press claimed we were in a strong position to sign him.

Re: Marco Reus
Agree with Bluey, might be a contract to ensure he doesn't go for a pittance.

Re: Marco Reus
If we signed him, who'd you play bluey? Especially of we get de Bruyne. I can't see us buying both. I'd be tempted to put bids in for de Bruyne and Reus at £35M and see what happens.

.............................Hart...............................
Zab............Vinny............Manga...........Kurzawa
..........................TLMLF/Delph...............................
Sterling..............Reus.............Silva...........DeB
.................................Aguero.........................
That'd be my preferred team to start the season.
Yes, I did put TLMLF fucker in there, only because he may be a first choice.
I don't think the DFM is such a big problem IF, our full backs and CB's are playing at a quality that means we defend as a unit and stop getting into positions whereby we are lop-sided. DEFEND as DEFENDERS.
Let the wide men, a la De Bruyne and Sterling who have the legs, get back and support if needed.
Leave Silva and Reus (who can do the donkey work as well) support Aguero or track back any runners.
The problem I see all of the time, is that our full backs (and that includes Zaba) always seem to be told to narrow the pitch on the edge of the area. Teams get wide far too easily against us.
Stay solid, stay in your zonal area and make them cut through us in the middle of the pitch. Most of our poor, poor goals, just like against Madrid, come from wide players having loads of time to decide what they want to do.
Tell Zaba and Kurzawa (whoever), to stay wide with the opposition wide players when we've not got the ball. There is far less space inside than outside - and this is an area where we can have more players. I just don't get it - we've seen this for the last few seasons. Allowing opposition wide men to have the ball - which means it drags our CB's out of position and allow a simple ball across our box.
That'd be my starting 11 all told.

Re: Marco Reus
Couldn't argue with that line up. Reus, Sterling and de Bruyne would provide the legs in midfield to, hopefully, make up for Yaya.

Re: Marco Reus
We need an overhaul so get Reus and kick out the dead wood that have had chances to prove themselves but failed... this club isnt a place for the weak and Danny Mills anymore...
