Whilst Dzeko, with 72 goals in 189 games in the PL, will be bought for £8m. What's that? A loss of £16m!!!

Agreed Blue. How the frig have Chelsea made a profit on someone who's absolutely garbage....and is costing Roma twice as much as Dzeko is to boot.

Think City need to get whoever does Chelseas dealings out on board me thinks.

It will be to do with his wages, remember the clowns gave him a ridiculous extension last year.

No, it would decrease his sell-on. Most clubs can't meet the £180k a week he was on with us, so to maintain that wage, they spend less picking up the player. It's happened to us a lot.

Chelsea, on the other hand, pick up players and give them a much lower wage, which makes them more attractive to buyers when they come to sell on.

I think we're now past the days of throwing shedloads of money at players to entice them here, but we've still got a few high earners on the books who are going to keep making losses on re-sale.
