Wouldn't begrudge him that....but IF, we were the CL holders by then, would he still leave?

Not sure if Pep would let Sergio leave Lionel & our quadruple winning team in 2019

Re: Aguero sets date he will leave
If his current contract runs til 2019 and he doesn't sign a new one, then i guess we wouldn't have any choice in the matter.....and if that was his choice i wouldn't begrudge him leaving on a free.
That said, 2019 is a long way off and a lot can happen to a player in that time...the time might actually be right for him to move on. The "new" Aguero could be ready to sign for City in the meantime too.....i'm thinking positively at the thought of this scenario
Whenever he does leave, i (and everyone else) will NEVER forget the massive contribution he made to MCFC. I think we can all agree that Serge must be one of the top 3 best players we'll have ever seen wear the Sky/Light/Laser Blue of Man City....and in my eyes will always be considered a Legend whatever happens in the future.

Re: Aguero sets date he will leave
2019 seems like too little time away... three years... It's not enough.
But to be fair to him, he'll be 31 by then and probably past his best. It's good that he feels so happy here he's willing to stick his neck out and say "Yes, I'm going to give my very best years to City." Not bad going for little old us, is it? And given that he's been here for four years already, I think it's safe to say that we've been very fortunate to have a player of his calibre stick around (and more importantly, want to stick around) for so long.
I don't think there should even be any question about his status with us: If he doesn't fit the bill for "Legend", then nobody does.

Oh without a shadow of doubt - he's already a City legend.
For me, he's right at the top along with Silva.
I'm also thankful that he will be with us for at least another 3 years...at that rate, he could break into the top 10 PL scorers of all time in only 7 seasons, which would be incredible.
