City v Sunderland - Live Thread
So, will Vinny and Zaba be back? Will Sergio start?
Will we actually turn up and play a decent game?
Team news in 15 mins.

Re: City v Sunderland - Live Thread
Can't believe the manager has folded under pressure from a few words in the press by Bony!
WTF?
If anything, Aguero needs game time FFS!

Yeah, but remember, he doesn't trust anyone to pass it from MF...according to Frank.

Hopefully this is a ploy in order to drop TLMF for the more challenging next two games.

get to 4-0 or 5-0 at HT and you can rest one or two key players for the next match

Is he not? Not watched Fletcher do anything other than dive for headers! What more do you want him to do?

Silva could have 2 or 3, IF he had a goal-scorers instinct.

Thought the yellow card for Sterling was harsh, considering the MASSIVE dive from Graham at the end there went unpunished!

he got in front of Mangala, down the side, for a shot he hit over the bar.

We need to bring back Denayer or use some youth! Who is available? Another Mangala?

Bony bitched to the press and said he deserve to play!
Any other manager with balls would have benched him and played Nacho for a while. ..

i'd have just taken the 3 points before the match. suppose after going 3-0 ahead so early, it was to be expected they'd take it easy.

Re: City v Sunderland - Live Thread
Well, as I said the other day...our Captain is finished. Fucking sicknote.
As for Bony, please, don't get me started. He had some nice touches in the first half, but his finishing, apart from the penalty, is fucking awful.
Still, 3 massive points with the foxes getting beat...just need Arsenal to get stuffed by the Saints!
Another few days rest for Sergio, but wish we could have given Merlin a rest....rather than the lazy twat.
Think we may need to seriously be looking at Denayer back in Jan....Vinny's finished IMO.
Thought the defence had done really well up until they introduced sicknote.
AND...who the fuck gave Bony that pen?????????

Re: City v Sunderland - Live Thread
if we really must play with attacking full backs is it too much to ask them this " if by chance the attack breaks down can you please track back sharpish?" the amount of times Otamendi & Mangala were caught out of position putting in tackles on the right & left touchline respectively, had they been beaten we were wide open.
Otamendi fouls someone on the touchline, fine, because he was covering for sagna who was out of position. But when the ref blows for a free kick don't stand like a fuckwit arguing the call with the ref. He aint gonna change his mind, Graham takes a quick free kick ota way out of position has left Borini free on the edge of the box , only a perfect covering slide tackle from mangala saved the day. Bony scored a really good goal then undoes all the good work by skying 2 simple chances over the bar? I have defended him a lot but he really does need to put more effort in when arriving in the box & consistency in his ability to find the net. Sterling really needs to start running & beating people, he also in my opinion should start to man up a bit and use a bit of strength, he gets knocked of a ball way to easily for my liking.
I do not blame the medical staff for Kompany's injury. They have a strict routine & have waited patiently for Kompany to regain fitness, They have not rushed him back & were only going to use him for the last 25 mins, Had he not passed his fitness test & trained all week without reaction then I don't think he would have been any where near the first team. Having said all that glad we won but still need to improve a fair bit for the next 2 games. Uniturd losing was sweet, keep turtle & keep losing luv it.
