United....what a dive!
Fucking disgraceful....the dive by Memphis wanted a yellow card, never mind a penalty!
So, what does Howard Red say about it?
The other week he said "Aguero got a touch, but it was his theatrical dive that meant the ref didn't give it and rightly so"....well FFS, Memphis made Ashley Young look like an amateur!

agree Moon...clearly a touch means nothing 'according to Howard Red' if the player makes a meal of it.
He said as much over Sergio.

a penalty but a yellow card for diving or a yellow card for the slightest tap on his shin pad?

Saw it last night and i'm sorry to say it was a nailed on penalty...and the Sheffield players reaction said it all. Whether The Rag player exaggerated the dive or nor, it was still a penalty.

Re: United....what a dive!
I get that Shaken...yes, in theory it was a definitely penalty. My point, probably not put across properly, was that Howard Red (BT ref expert!!), said it was a penalty, no mention of the swan dive as Dawg called it.
Yet, when Sergio got his leg taken from him (not a tap on the shin pad), Howard Red said "yes, by the letter of the law it was a penalty, but the fact that Aguero went down theatrically, was why the ref didn't give it"....hence the whole Robbie Savage re-enactment where Savage said it was ridiculous that the penalty wasn't given, regardless of Aguero's arms going out.
Just shows, still, even when United are shite, the bias still exists.

In other news, rag fans no longer thing Memphis is a massive, expensive bag of shite because he won them a dreary cup tie against poor opposition.

I think we have to take into account where the penalties were and weren't given too....the Rags were at home and all referees are told to give Utd penalties there at every given opportunity, so he was always gonna get it.....thought that was common knowledge.

Loved the summing up by Scholes after the game...Giggs have anything to do with it - wanting the United job?

I wish people would leave the turtle alone. He is doing a great job at uniturd. 1st moyes now the turtle giggs to take over after the turtle. They have the holy trinity outside the swamp, after giggs they can have the 3 stooges.

As long as they dont snatch Pep away (which is v unlikely) I dont give a toss bout United. Whoever they have as manager, their squad is nowhere near as good as ours, Arse's or Chelskis

I do tony. I love to see them suffer. Christ knows it's about time they got a lot of what they dished out to us back in large portions over a long period of time.

Re: United....what a dive!
My neighbour's sadly a season ticket RAG (nice fella though) and he was telling me he's now got a direct line to the Samaritans . He said in all the years of going to OT he's never seen such negative football played and would welcome the sacking of LVG......but only for Mourinho.
I have to admit, it did make me laugh listening to him moan about them
