So, it looks like we're NOT going to sign another defender in this window, not a striker according to MP.

Now seems like Vinny could be at least, another 4 weeks according to the medical team - and this was always the plan!! If so, we really could do with Denayer back....I don't like this relying on MDM or playing Sagna at CB talk.

As for a striker - MP said "Kelechi is our other striker" when pressed on the issue of Bony being out and buying another forward.

Vinnys injury problems are become a major concern...if they persist much longer he may have to be moved on .

Kompany looks finished. Pellegrini should be shot for not having cover at CB and not looking for cover.

Pellegrini obviously thinks sagna & & 4 other centre backs was adequate cover at the beginning of the season irrespective of what we think, He now thinks we have enough cover irrespective what we think. At the end of the day he has to live or die by his decisions. only time will tell if his confidence is correct or misguided.

Time for bed now as I have a very early start & match not on till 03.45am here so will have to wake up to hopefully a good result. We are due a good performance & we really need to start putting a string of good results together now.

I still don't see the harm in keeping Denayer as 4th choice CB and MDM as 5th choice. OK, he may not have played enough but, looking at Vinnie's injury record, he would get enough games, even just mainly cup games andca few league and CL games. I think he'd have hot at least 15 games which may have been enough to see if he had what it takes.

Apparently there is not early return option in Denayer's loan deal, he wont be back this season.

I thought MP said in last weeks press conference, "yes, we can bring him back if we want to"??
