Cantona's turn to join in
Amazing, isn't it? We spend lots of money and win a trophy and then all the old United players wade into battle with their ascerbic comments about our club. And it seems old Kung Fu Cantona can't keep his gob shut either:

Although at no point does the interview name either of these boys directly, I can't say it surprises me that Tevez and Balo were named in the headline - this is the Sun we're talking about, after all. It also comes as no shock to find the interview quickly turns to a good old fashioned Taggart arse kissing session.
Yes, we know they've had more success than us. We get it. Maybe it's time for them to show a bit of class and wind their necks in.

Re: Cantona's turn to join in
I dont like my job but I just get on with it, I have to. Footballers who are paid MILLIONS of pounds dont know how lucky they are & to turn round & then say they dont like the City they live in after all the support they get off people who work hard for their money is a disgrace.
Sorry but for me them players are showing no respect to the people of manchester, I dont care if there "homesick", have a walk around Beswick/Clayton/NH/Miles platting/Moston ect ect before you moan how bad it is for YOU.
Just get on with it, play football.

Re: Cantona's turn to join in
The thing is, Newton, that's the one bit I actually agree with! Some footballers have absolutely no clue what is going on right under their noses and don't appreciate the gulf in standard of living between them and the very people who help line their pockets. In some respects, I'd expect City players to have more appreciation of the depth of depravation in Manchester because their stadium is housed right bang in the middle of it, bordered by row after row of boarded up terraces, brownfield land and closed factories. United players probably don't get to see the same thing as OT is pretty much surrounded by tarmac and industry.
No, I can't be doing with the overprivileged bemoaning the city. We love the place, warts and all, and we don't want some Johnny come lately criticising from the comfort of their seven bedroomed mansion in Hale Barns whilst pulling in twenty times the average Manc salary every single week.
However, what I also don't want is to see every ex-United player crawl out of the woodwork and use every little thing to pick holes in our club. It shows no class. And Cantona can keep his thinly veiled hypocrisy to himself; He professes to love Manchester, but does he actually live here? Nope, thought not. It's one thing to talk, but unless he actually puts his money where his mouth is and move back here, he can keep his opinions to himself.

Yeah. Loved it so much he couldn't wait to move back...
Sorry, I know that's a bit harsh, but isn't it funny how he loves the club so much, but only turns up for the odd testimonial?

Re: Cantona's turn to join in
he has a very busy lifestyle.
But lets not get away from players that get paid a very lot of money then moan about the City, which is where a lot of there fans live.
Out of order, head down. play football & keep your moaning mouths shut.

ONH, i take it you are talking about your legend Cantona, the same legend that charged you club thousands to play in the Munich tribute. Yeah, he loves the club alright.
