City turn down FLT invite
http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36763761
Due to the first rounds clashing with U21 internationals. Apparently, other bigger clubs will turn it down as well.
It's a shame as it would have given some young lads good experience of playing against hardened pros.

Yeah, but I guess their development at U21 level is more important, especially as these kids play in International tournaments for their clubs as well.

Good, as i'm totally against it .
Tbh, i'd scrap this competition anyway....complete and utter waste of time.

City haven't ruled out entering, it all depends if they can find some dates in the calendar.

I hope people vote with their feet and boycott games against PL U21 sides...well i for one will be.
All FL sides are now open to ridicule if they lose imo...i really won't be able to show my face again if Bury lost at home to any U21s team

I hope, for City's kids sake, that dates can be found. The kids need some rougher treatment against hardened pros.
