LFC v City - Live Thread
First topic message reminder :
So, teams news shortly....3 massive points on offer, especially if the Spuds win.
For me:
Hart
Zaba, Vinny, Ota, Kolorov
Fernandinho, Fernando
Navas, Silva, Sterling
Aguero

They've all shown no fight apart from Vinny.
Navas is woeful.
Aguero, Silva and Navas should have been replaced tonight.
So, United go level with us tonight as they've just scored.
Great win on Sunday boys....but boy, you've all been fucking useless tonight. Less of the celebrating and more effort and energy would be nice.

I'd hat to see Silva's ankles in the morning, will be black and blue, he never got going tonight as the ref gave him feck all.
Barring Flannagan should have been booked in the first half theres nothing else though other than a feckless performance all round.
we've been crap

At least Arsenal and Spurs lost, so we're not any worse off. But Leicester must be pissing themselves laughing now. Yesterday they were looking at losing ground, now they're a point further in front!

and the rags go level with us....and now cut the GD to 6 from 10...albeit we have a game in hand.
Villa next....another 0-0 coming up with these feckless fuckers.
Honestly, wtf sort of effort was that? Pathetic.

In the cold light of day not as big a disaster as it could have been.
Spuds and Gooners were worse results, we've won at Anfield twice in 47 years FFS, so a point was probably the most we lost there.
OK Scum are on our coat tails but they made hard work of an easy home game, and we still have a game in hand and +7 GD.
That is it though, this is our final wake up call. 10 games to go and I really do think we can only afford to lose 1 more game, with at least 7 wins to make sure of top 4, and bear in mind we play Gooners, Scum and Chavs in those matches.
What really worries me if we are struggling is Scum have the easiest last 6 games of any of the top 6. We need to make sure we are clear before then. The Derby is our biggest game of the season if you ask me.
PS. This is just to make top 4 !! The league is gone

Probably be a 0-0!
Last night was just embarrassing. I know Navas has just returned from an injury - but fuck me, it's one of the worst efforts I've seen from a professional footballer.
I tweeted Vinny last night to ask "Do the Man City players look at Navas, and ask themselves if he really is a professional footballer?

.. and anything less than 3 points Saturday and MP needs to go there and then. Let Kidd see out the season, he won't do any worse and MP is going to cost us Champs League at this rate.

Re: LFC v City - Live Thread
Didn't like the excuses as well from MP. "The players were tired. We didn't have any midfielders. We had a long journey last week".............oh fuck off.
What about Garcia, Celina, Barker....fresh fucking legs!
I'm just so sick of excuses from footballers and managers.
Bet they were out partying on Sunday night though? Celebrate when the seasons over, man the fuck up and get on with it you soft cunts.

Actually, I think he would do worse. Remember 2013? We got battered by Norwich on the last game of the season and only Rodwell bothered to turn up. That's not what we need.blisteringblue wrote:.. and anything less than 3 points Saturday and MP needs to go there and then. I hear you! I've spent most of the last two weeks doing the work of three people whilst desperately trying to hold off a virus (and I'm currently losing the battle to that). So to hear that a bunch of people get a fancy first class flight, with everything they could possibly want, to work for an hour and a half in the Ukraine, then get a top notch VIP coach to Wembley to put in another two hour shift, pick up their six figure weekly wage, then fuck about for 90 minutes a few days later and bitch about how difficult it's been and how tired they are, it's a bit hard to take.blueboy wrote:I'm just so sick of excuses from footballers and managers.
Seriously, if you're not fit enough to work for five hours in a whole week, maybe you should fuck off and let someone else have a go at earning a million quid a month to kick a fucking football around for a couple of hours!

Re: LFC v City - Live Thread
MP basically admitted to being a piss poor manager
If they were so bloody tired why the fuck did you play 7 out of 11 players who had played against Kiev & LPoo the previous week
Idiot !

If he was a decent manager he'd have been top of that win % poll yesterday

Agree we kicked out Mancini and Sven before the end of the season and they were less criminal than this bloke.
He is not even trying with his excuses. They were tired!!! So were the bindippers!!!

Re: LFC v City - Live Thread
I tell ya, MP doesn't give a rats arse about trophies... all he want to do is say the right things and keep up the appearance for his next job...
"We did not have any midfirlders"!!!!
Whos fault was tgat then for not putting Garcia on the bench???!!!
As I said not even trying with his excuses...
Players don't need a friend they need a kick up their arse and a managersl that can beat their ego down. ..
