Not sure why papers keep calling him a Paedophile. Maybe they should look up the term.

Personally, think it's a bit more than a woman would get for doing the same thing. It seems more than an 'average' man would get.

I said a month ago...it'll be between 6-10 years. Seems to me, the fact that he groomed her, knowing she had just turned 15, is the crux of the sentencing.

The bottom line is this, and I don't have daughters....

He knew she had just turned 15. He knew what the law was on under-aged sexual activity with a minor - he looked it up FFS, on the internet after their first meeting...yet still, he persisted, kissed her and according to reports, carried out other sexual acts with her.

Yes, she should know in this day and age that it's wrong, especially with all the school projects and subjects that cover these issues, but the onus is in him as an adult to make the right judgement. He didn't, so deserves whatever he's got IMO.

However, my point was with the media...this whole use of the term Paedophile. He's not a Paedophile as that suggest the girl was pre-pubescent, which clearly at 15, she wasn't.

Some people in power, authority, with huge wealth, just get wrapped up in the 'yes sir' culture that means whatever they want they get....well they can't and he got caught. "So do your time".

Maybe the problem is that his sentence is fair enough but others aren't. there was a lad shagging his teaching assistant. he claimed over 50 times. she got a suspended sentence.

Then the woman who pretended she was a boy to 'shag' girls aged 12-17. She got half his time.

we had the tennis discussion earlier, my stance is I'm all for them earning the same as the men,....  when they play 5 set matches.. if not, they should get 3 sets worth of the money.

I wouldn't give the equality in tennis prize money, even if they played 5 sets.

Prize money should be based upon sponsorship, tv money, gate receipts etc. That's why the ladies playing golf don't get the same prize money as men for the same event.

Hold on....regardless of whether the 14/15 yr old girl knew what she was doing....the very fact Johnson did what he did, knowing what the consequences could be as an adult...he's a prick and deserves what he's got.

I think people are questioning the equality in sentencing rather than think he's been hard dome by.

What's wrong with 6 years? He'll do 3 at most and be released.

As for sentencing - we all know it's pathetically imbalanced....the point being here is that he's a high profile sportsman - but even with past brushes with the law, he still went ahead and did what he did.

I'm not saying 6 years is wrong or way too much. But I want equality in sentencing. We all know there is an imbalance where males are concerned with things like custody of children, maintenance etc.
