Did not having Yaya....
in the team last night influence the result?
Would his inclusion have made the scoreline/performance any different?
What does Pellers do for the return leg now?

I'd keep the same formation, maybe have Delph in for Fernando. Unfortunately Moon, I can see him bringing Yaya back for him though...and this is where we might come unstuck.
As regards Bony, i'd leave him in the changing rooms

I'd play the same team, but with Delph for Nando. And use Itchy instead of Bony Idle. And I wouldn't play Silva on the wing either, it left Clichy horribly exposed.

Re: Did not having Yaya....
He could try Fernandinho out on the left to protect Clichy. I'd go with the same team. If we need a goal, get Zabba on. Bony Idle has to be sent to Coventry.

Re: Did not having Yaya....
I think we've all seen that to accommodate Silva and KDB in the same team, TLMLF has to be dropped.
Navas won't and shouldn't be dropped for his work rate, therefore, to shoe-in TLMLF, we'd have to unbalance the whole team....and you know what? Pellegrini will do it to fit him in.
I agree, I'd play Delph on the left...possibly changing the formation slightly to a 4-3-2-1 with the back four staying the same:
Hart
Same 4
Navas, Fernandinho, Delph
KDB, Silva
Aguero.

And there lies the problem. If he does this and City go on to lose, that'll be why.blueboy wrote:Navas won't and shouldn't be dropped for his work rate, therefore, to shoe-in TLMLF, we'd have to unbalance the whole team....and you know what? Pellegrini will do it to fit him in.

Re: Did not having Yaya....
If he does bring in TLMLF, we'll all know what he'll do and how things will pan out. Last night, even with Fernando and Fernandinho playing as the 2, they had the ball around our box an awful lot last night - we do that next week and things could be different, as they won't be that poor again.
I can see it now if TLMLF plays...it'll be time and time again, PSG players playing the ball around and past him mid-pitch, leaving Fernandinho up against 2 attacking MF's, Otamendi having to rush out to support him and leaving space behind Mangala for their strikers - as that's what happens when TLMLF plays in a 2 with Fernandinho against the better teams in the PL - time and time again.

Re: Did not having Yaya....
I actually think we should leave as is the 2 ferns were fine last night. I do feel Fernando gets a rough deal at times because he hardly is the most skilfull or eye catching player but he has a great habit of sticking in the leg & winning the ball & so often breaks up attacks & sets us off. He also has a great engine & covers a lot of ground. Toure cannot & will not give us security in that area of the field. The only thing Toure could offer is a goal threat if played further Forward as I think Psg will leave a lot of open spaces for us to exploit in their search for a goal, especially if we score first and they have to really chase the game.

He's suspended Oz - I think, hence the discussion.

Hence my point about playing TLMLF further forward. Poor Fernandinho will be left exposed, or...who else would you drop to accommodate another DFM?

Re: Did not having Yaya....
Exactly the problem. Thing is, when he wants to, Yaya can turn a game in our favour. The trouble being, I don't think he wants to now he knows Pep's coming.blueboy wrote:I think we've all seen that to accommodate Silva and KDB in the same team, TLMLF has to be dropped.

The one thing I noticed about PSG last night is the speed with which they get forward. Zlatan drops back to help win the ball, then lays off a simple pass and makes a beeline for the box. Cavani and Di Maria charge down the pitch like rockets and let the midfield push up, where they made a killer pass more often than not before we could even catch them. I can't see TLF having any impact against that.

Re: Did not having Yaya....
Exactly my point Leo....especially for next week.
Let him play Saturday...but I agree with you, he's at a stage where he couldn't give shit - if he ever did tbf.

Re: Did not having Yaya....
don't think Fernando is suspended no mention of that from the commentators last night or on the city/BBC websites.
in relation to how to accommodate Toure ( if we have to) would be ala Kiev away. fernandinho wide right Navas to make way. I really hope he does not pass fit though.

Re: Did not having Yaya....
up and at em early today Den.
Although a 0-0 will do us, I can't see us keeping a clean sheet unless we get a couple of early goals and they give up.
I want us to cautiously throw caution to the wind...

Re: Did not having Yaya....
Because den to accommodate Toure that would be an obvious solution, as we did in kiev. That solution also worked well with a 1-3 scoreline.

I can,t see paris giving up even if they are 2 down, we are shite at holding onto a lead when put under pressure so I,m sure they will not let up
