Is anyone else as relieved as I am to get this season started? I've been bored shitless without the football

Yes Leo - looking forward to the weekend - and Monday night. Have really missed the footie although I have accumulated one or two extra pairs of shoes etc., during the break

Just getting that tingle up my spine that tells me the football is nearly back, why does have to be a monday night to start though? thats the only bad thing about the start of the new season.

I know what you mean. I'd much rather be starting on Saturday at 3pm, but now I've got to go through the entire weekend watching every other team in the country play except us.

Still, could be worse, we could be a spud or a toffee, they've got to wait until next week. And on the plus side, we'll know exactly how many we've got to put past Swansea to put us on the top spot.

I think most of the other games will be tight, so there's every chance we'll be sitting pretty on tuesday morning.

However, opening day always brings on a surprise or two, remember Wigan 0-4 Blackpool last season?

I was looking at the fixtures and there's one or two which could be interesting.

Newcastle v Arsenal is one. Will we see a repeat of last season? I suspect it all depends on which Newcastle turn up.

West Brom v United is another, I recall United rescinding a 2 goal advantage last year.

Norwich is probably the only promoted side with a decent chance of victory and I'd like to see the Canaries do well this year, if only to keep in touch with one of my Norwich based buddies.

QPR and Bolton should be an interesting fixture, I'm expecting a bit of a goalfest there.
