I think, technically, the transfer window opens on 6th June so we may see lots more activity after that date.

hope so. it would be a great start to get those two in really quickly. It will also give a transfer target, who has options, a nudge that we are going big.

Seems a lot to pay for someone who is currently injured, will miss the start of the season & missed the whole of 2013/14 with back problems. Let's hope we haven't signed another Jack Rodwell

I'd be more worried if both injuries were the same. His lengthy spell out of the game were due to a back problem.
His dislocated knee came in training.
£21m for a player of his calibre is definitely worth the risk. If he wasn't injured, had another 3 years left on his contract, we'd be talking about £40-50m for him.

He'd played something like 25 games last season before dislocating his kneecap. That's a decent run of games.
