Sounds to me as a little bit of clarification and an 'olive branch'....

That says to me...that it's up to Joe to fight for his place.

It also says that Joe has known the score for a few weeks at least. He should have been working his backside off to improve his passing. We all know his long distribution is kak, but surely 2 hours a day controlling and passing a ball is within his capabilities.

He's got to have a reasonable standard at the moment so how difficult would it be for him to put the effort in to get better?

We saw Willy make mistakes with his passing against Sunderland but he kept his place for Bucharest. He's got Pep's trust for the time being (until Bravo arrives).

It may well depend on how much Joe wants to keep his England place. He could stay and fight until January which should give enough time and then leave in that window if he's not number 1.

It seems silly to give up so easily.
